Woman who shot alleged attacker may have slain a serial killer, police say

A woman in Charleston, W.Va., may have saved her own life and the lives of many other women, as well, when she shot and killed an alleged attacker in her home last week.

Neal Falls showed up at the woman’s home on July 18 after answering an escort ad she had placed on Backpage.com, according to police. He showed up with a “kill list,” multiple pairs of handcuffs and a Subaru full of weapons and tools, including a shovel, knives, a bulletproof vest, a machete, bleach, trash bags, sledgehammers and axes, according to Fox affiliate KPTV.

In Falls’s pocket, police said, was a list of names of potential future victims, all of whom are sex workers who advertised on Backpage, according to the Daily Dot.

Now investigators are trying to determine whether Falls, 45, was responsible for a string of slayings targeting sex workers in Ohio and Nevada, the station reported.

Jesus could tell someone to go and sin no more and the problem is solved. I feel sorry for prostitutes. When I was young and talked to a few they were obviously sex slaves addicted to drugs and held in slavery by bikers. (My college buddies thought visiting biker bars was a hoot. I didn’t as I saw more than just naked women. I saw their condition.)

The problem of prostitution, as opposed to sex worker, is that they are slaves either in reality or to chemicals. Normalizing the profession does no good for them.

I’d have no problem with “sex work” if the worker got to keep her wages and paid taxes and all the other niceties of civilized behavior. But it isn’t “work” until they are essentially the same as comparable workers in all aspects.

I agree. The semantics of her being a "sex worker" is beside the point. She ended the career of a likely serial killer. That is something to be applauded.

I have a problem with destroying the classical concept of “Work” which used to be a virtue and is necessary for self-esteem and autonomy.

Back during Henry Lee Lucas, they closed a boatload of cases. Never mind he didn't do many of them but it got them off the books.
