American Express and American Cancer Society: We No Longer Donate to Planned Parenthood

Americans are paying more attention to the dirty deeds at Planned Parenthood than ever before now that the abortion business has been caught twice selling the body parts of aborted babies. Included in that additional attention is a concern about corporate contributions by large companies and organizations to the abortion giant.

As LifeNews reported yesterday, three such companies have indicated they no longer donate to Planned Parenthood after they had been listed on both Planned Parenthood’s web site as corporate funders and pro-life lists of companies that support Planned Parenthood. Those included Coca-Cola, Xerox and Ford Motor Company.

SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must Investigate Planned Parenthood for Selling Aborted Baby Parts

Now, another company and a large nonprofit group are joining the list — saying they last donated to Planned Parenthood many years ago and no longer do so: American Express and the American Cancer Society.

Officials with both companies contacted the Daily Signal and told the publication about the cessation of donations to Planned Parenthood:

American Express: “American Express last contributed to two Planned Parenthood community projects more than fifteen years ago. One project provided services to teens such as computer workshops, job preparation, mentoring, recreation and counseling. The other supported adult volunteers working with at-risk adolescents in a local school district.”

The American Cancer Society: “The American Cancer Society does not fund grants to Planned Parenthood affiliates. We have previously funded a very limited number of cancer control grants to Planned Parenthood affiliates to implement cancer control programs, such as training clinic staff to screen patients for smoking, providing patients the benefits of quitting smoking, and referring patients to a toll-free smoking cessation helpline. These grants expired several years ago. The American Cancer Society does not fund—nor has it ever funded—abortion or contraceptive counseling.”

This latest development comes in the wake of two undercover videos that showed Planned Parenthood executives talking about the sale of fetal body parts. Planned Parenthood is facing both federal and state investigations—and the possibility of losing taxpayer funding.

SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must De-Fund Planned Parenthood Immediately

Here’s what the other companies had to say:

* A representative from Coca-Cola confirmed for The Daily Signal the company does not contribute to Planned Parenthood, nor does it match employee contributions to the organization.

* “We are making sure that Ford Motor Company is not listed as a Planned Parenthood contributor on their website,” a representative from Ford told The Daily Signal. “In addition, we do not offer an employee match for charitable contributions,” the Ford representative said. It has been at least 10 years since Ford stopped matching employee gift contributions, the representative added.

* Similarly, Xerox was listed on the Planned Parenthood website and has said it also does not donate in any way. “We checked our files for the last 20 years and have no record of Xerox Corp. contributing to Planned Parenthood,” a representative from Xerox told The Daily Signal.

By Wednesday afternoon, Planned Parenthood had removed Xerox from its list of companies that match gifts to the organization. By Thursday morning, Planned Parenthood removed every company name listed as a donor.

Why does the American Cancer Society (who garners charitable money for cancer research) give money to the PP butchers?

I give nothing to any large organization. All my benevolence spending goes to needs I see at hand.

Well, excluding political donations.

P.S. Best political money I ever spent was for the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth in their campaign against John F’ing Kerry. Glorious to see that fool castigated by people he figured he could cloak himself with. Love those guys!

What a freaking den of vipers and liars at PP!

They're baby-killers.

Lying is small potatoes to them.

Ok... so assuming this is true, why did it take this for these folks to withdraw funding? The act of murdering babies is what these people are all about... whether or not anything is ‘harvested’.

I called Avon and told them I was a third generation Avon customer, but, due to their direct donations to PP, I would no longer be a customer. They claim they support women (with their foundation), but I guess they don’t support unborn female...or male...babies. I took a picture of all of my Avon products, ready to throw away, with my new products in the foreground....to send to them.

I had breast cancer and am proud to say I’ve never given a dime to any big organization. I do give to the local cancer center who treated me and my mom before me. At the time she only had Medicare and the Doc in charge told her....if you get a bill throw it in the trash.

All these companies are now saying that they do not donate so that should mean Planned Genocide should be broke yet it is not. I have read their excuses that it is another separate entity that donates money and they do not have control yet the ceo’s and the board members control the money given so I do not believe any of them on the list who give money to kill and dismember children.

They get away with this, folks, by not writing checks from the company account.

I bet you their corporate board members write big, maybe even tax deductible checks to the abortion mill.

Look sometime at the board of members on the now pro-homosexual Boy Scout organization. Lots of rich folk.

I don’t know for sure, but it sure seems to me this is a way to keep their company’s image “pure” but the people behind the scene still support infanticide.

Maybe someone should start looking into the books of the ACS and more organizations like it?

We have a very large organization that takes in X dollars. Where is that money going> How many bloated salaries to executives? How many lobbyists and lawyers?

I make these points because of a recycling process I once designed and built. It answered several issues being raised by the environmentalists at the time. My assumption is that they would have signed onto it.

Turns out, our largest and loudest detractors were, the environmentalists who made up all kinds of lies to raise awareness to stop us. It became very clear that those issues we resolved were actually issues that they used to raise money. So, their being was not about fixing the problems, it was nothing more than raising money to keep them employed. Then we found out who it was that originally gave the seed money to create them, a large corporation that was profiting from the status-quot.

So, I say let us dig into ACS and also if we are being told the truth about the status of this disease which in of itself is big business. How many cures have been bought up and hidden away, just like Smokey Yunicks carburetor?

Some child-care wall has a mural that contains a Mickey Mouse ‘look-alike’, and Disney INSTANTLY ‘knows’ and sues for removal and/or usage $$.

You mean a ‘front-line’ organization, such as PP, was (for years) allowed to WRONGLY publish a donor list, and these ‘donor’ companies didn’t notice? or care before now?

I’m calling B.S. all-around; they’re all catching hell and this is a CYA moment.

Such deep evil is often demonically protected. I’d deem it credible under such circumstances. And also that Ford Motor Company’s involvement, if any, has been limited to matches of its employees’ donations to Ford Foundation, which is the direct culprit here.

Ford Motor Company has its own problems with yielding to enticements to snuggle up to immorality, it is not a company of sheer angels. But it does not look like direct support of abortion is among its besetting ills.

I can reach it just fine.

Sentiments like that are probably commonplace. Many women do not remain numb forever after submitting to such horrors.

Thanks!

The site went back up fifteen or so minutes ago. Always is of concern when a main “Life” site goes dark, especially in these recent times of #PPSellsBabyParts.

This shines a light on Planned Parenthood. But what about all those other abortion clinics out there? They’re more than likely selling baby parts, too.

This should be about abortions PERFORMED by Planned Parenthood.
