A Marine veteran standing guard outside an Armed Forces Recruiting Center has been told he is no longer welcome and ordered off the property.
Matthew Benack took up a sentry post outside the Center in Jacksonville, Fla., in response to the deadly attack on five members of the U.S. military last week in Chattanooga, Tenn., WNCT reported.
Police said the vet was within his constitutional rights to have a loaded weapon outside the center as long as the unidentified property owner gave permission.

..the Pentagon will be making sure the recruiters follow Odungo’s orders and call police nationwide.......
Wow. Talk about advertising the next terror attack gun free zone location. Idiots
Many years go, US counties had sheriff's posses, a group of men armed and ready to act at the sheriff's direction.
Our county still has a sheriff's posse. But they undergo no training, and are never used for any peace-keeping purpose. The "posse" is now a social club. They might march in a parade or two, and that's about it.
It's time to bring back operational (and well-trained) sheriff's posses. And guarding recruiting centers would be one use for such a posse. I'm guessing the sheriff would be swamped with volunteers.
Time for some civil disobedience.
This begs the legal question:
If the site owner requires tenants to be unarmed and are subsequently harmed or killed by an individual taking advantage of that limitation, is the owner then not legally responsible from both a tort and criminal perspective?
“Honestly, I suspect the property owner HAD to make this call or risk losing liability insurance.”
Only if he was aware of it.
I can be pretty stupid when I want to be.
This is FL - Gov Scott has authorized the National Guard to carry weapons on duty - maybe he should also call out the National Guard to defend the recruiting centers. That would take care of the “civilian unknown to us” issue the property owner was having.
I want the owner to tell the terrorist “BANG..BANG..Hey, this is a no guns allowed ..BANG..OW! That’s it, I’m calling my lawyer”.

The Front Page of the Kingsport Times depicted seven armed men standing guard at the local recruitment center
In Israel, combat solders walk into restaurants and plop down their Uzi on the table.
They hitchhike back and forth to the front, fully armed and visible.
Seems strange but after awhile it feels like you have your own personal bodyguard.
We value the sacrifices our armed forces make for this country each day...
Do they expect to sacrifice the military on their alter of political correctness like the sheep on the alter of GOD?
Did you know that several years ago the Marine Corps deleted pictures and biographies of retired and active Marine officers. I’m guessing it was due to security concerns for them and their families. www.USMC.mil
Apparently for recruiting personnel, they are just supposed to hide and wear civvies.
It’s getting crazier and crazier out there.
Sure, he has just accepted full responsibility when the next incident happens. It is right there, he directly says they are responsible. sue away.
Forty Five years ago there was a huge number of twenty year old members in our military.
The old math still says 20 + 45 equals 65 years old, retirement age. A huge pool of vets for starters.
In addition other patriotic American of a retirement age. Then throw in younger American patriots and you have a sizable force to handle protection as needed on the local level. The Sheriff's Posse.
Concealed handgun permit (bet he has one) ...
Scared of the volunteer guard; not a care about the jihadism. Well liberaled.
When my late papa visited Israel, he said he had never considered himself to be as well guarded as there. They know what evil attacks are, and will not countenance them in the least.
