...When they headed to Twin Peaks that day, there was never a peaceful meeting planned. The Bandidos had no idea anything was going down, which is why they had a rather sad showing of attendance in comparison to the people brought in by the Cossacks. Several of the men in that club claim that they had other plans that day and were called in to Twin Peaks that very morning. They arrived in a forceful showing of numbers and soon flooded the patio and parking lot with Cossacks. Many witnesses say that the Cossacks posted themselves like sentries all around the parking lot...

I pretty much figured, but this is the first confirmation that I have seen, that this guy was undercover. Think it was brought up before but a couple of pundits pointed out that there was no evidence of that...etc. etc.

So, now we know that the little weasel in the middle of the whole thing was a cop. I wonder. Does that make him a sleazy, drug dealing criminal biker or not?

Ask yourself this. And I know we’re not supposed to use common sense or anything. But just for the hell of it. Ask yourself. Who, in the middle of everything that was going on, who would be the first to pull a pistol? Joe Biker? Or undercover Biker?

Well, he rides a motorcycle with people in a club so has to be a drug dealer and a pimp as well as a cop.

At least according to the trolls.

Several people have said a Bandido was the first to fire along with the blogger. My question is why was there an undercover working the Cossack’s, they’re good ole boy’s right? Could he have been an officer who was a Cossack and known by other Cossack’s as an officer with the Waco PD?

At this point, all we have is internet reports from people who hang with the biker crowd, on the question of Barnum wearing Cossack garb and riding with the Cossacks.

His identity as a cop is fairly reliably established; but his "undercover with the Cossacks" contention is an open issue.

I happen to believe he was undercover with the Cossacks, but expect to see strenuous pushback from the distraction crew, that this hasn't been proven or admitted, that the source is a criminal, you're a nutrider kook, etc.

-- Who, in the middle of everything that was going on, who would be the first to pull a pistol? Joe Biker? Or undercover Biker? --

I'd say "that depends." But, if the discussion included, "Hey, I know you, you're Barnum, the drug cop," the cop, surrounded by bikers, would be the one pulling the gun in public. He knows his army is there, and has his back.

“Several of the Bandidos including Manny Rodriguez and Ray Allen never even had time to step off their bikes or do anything beyond swing blindly toward he assault from the handheld, Cossack wieled weapons that surrounded them. Then a shot rang out in the scuffle… maybe two? Suddenly cops came out of nowhere with assault weapons mowing down bikers all over the parking lot.”

That’s all I can find that the blogger posted about any shots. It sure doesn’t say a Bandido fired first. Where did he say that?

Exactly. I just can’t quite figure out why the Cossacks would show up spoiling for a fight, with the Police presence obviously there. I have a few ideas though. It just doesn’t make any sense..unless...

I’m not going to speculate on that right now. But does that make any sense to anybody?

-- Several people have said a Bandido was the first to fire along with the blogger. --

This particular OP doesn't assign first shot to either group. An earlier piece (same blogger) recounts a version that includes " A little after 12, some more Bandidos rolled in, less than ten of them. They were surrounded by Cossacks in the parking lot. An altercation ensued and the Bandidos were fighting them off with their hands and helmets because they hadn't even gotten off the bikes yet. Suddenly one Cossack pulled a gun and fired into a Bandido's shoulder. There is some confusion as to the next shot fired, but then the SWAT team came out and shot up everyone... killing nine, wounding more than 20. The reason so many Cossacks died is because they had the Bandidos surrounded."

-- My question is why was there an undercover working the Cossack's, they're good ole boy's right? --

Per the Waco PD felony complaint, the Cossacks are an OMG, Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, officially so per Texas Department of Public Safety.

Cossacks would be much easier to infiltrate than Bandidos, Cossacks are looking to expand membership, I gather there have been some club/gang mergers (IIRC, that's how Barnum became a Cossack). I doubt that he was generally known as Waco PD, to the Cossacks.

It's a mistake to look for an entire group motive, I think, at least one assignable to Cossacks or Bandidos. But it's pretty easy for one or two hotheads to stir up crap.

The only group that it "makes sense" came to Twin Peaks with gunfight in mind, is the cops.

And if I was the cops, and I started this mess, you can bet your bottom dollar I'd be pointing my finger at the other guy.

Yep.

Well, here is my speculation then. What if it was sort of a “joint venture” thing between Law Enforcement and Cossacks. At least Cossack leadership. It seems the Cossacks wanted to take the Bandidos down a peg or two and the Cops were licking their chops to get something on them. Things just got out of hand?

That's a possibility, but my first reaction is it's a far fetched one. If things don't get out of hand, what's the point? for example. It'd be just another fistfight (at a CoCI meeting!?), with not much settled as a result.
