-- this is the first confirmation that I have seen, that this guy was undercover. Think it was brought up before but a couple of pundits pointed out that there was no evidence of that. --

At this point, all we have is internet reports from people who hang with the biker crowd, on the question of Barnum wearing Cossack garb and riding with the Cossacks.

His identity as a cop is fairly reliably established; but his "undercover with the Cossacks" contention is an open issue.

I happen to believe he was undercover with the Cossacks, but expect to see strenuous pushback from the distraction crew, that this hasn't been proven or admitted, that the source is a criminal, you're a nutrider kook, etc.

-- Who, in the middle of everything that was going on, who would be the first to pull a pistol? Joe Biker? Or undercover Biker? --

I'd say "that depends." But, if the discussion included, "Hey, I know you, you're Barnum, the drug cop," the cop, surrounded by bikers, would be the one pulling the gun in public. He knows his army is there, and has his back.

Exactly. I just can’t quite figure out why the Cossacks would show up spoiling for a fight, with the Police presence obviously there. I have a few ideas though. It just doesn’t make any sense..unless...

I’m not going to speculate on that right now. But does that make any sense to anybody?
