FULL TITLE: 4,500 supporters of the Confederate flag create a spectacular EIGHT-MILE convoy in Florida to protest against the inflammatory symbol being taken down
• More than 1,500 pickups, motorcycles and cars took part in event in Ocala
• The 'Pride Ride' was a protest at the removal of flag from state buildings
• Gunshots were fired at the parade but no one was injured, say police
• A bid to take flag down from city's government complex has been rejected
• Organizer said it 'doesn't symbolize hate unless you think it's hate'
Thousands of supporters of the Confederate flag have risen up - creating an eight-mile convoy of cars, motorbikes and pick-ups all displaying the controversial symbol.
Horns blared and flags fluttered from the 1,500 vehicles taking part in the Florida Southern Pride Ride on Sunday.
Protesters against the parade fired at least six gunshots towards the convoy but no one was injured, reported wftv.

Then suddenly you're not at all interested in slavery. Suddenly slavery and emancipation doesn't interest you one bit.
Well imagine that. To be consistent in your condemnation of slavery you'd have to side with the British Crown and against the Founding Fathers.
And for some reason you're afraid to do that- is it that slavery is magically important in 1860 and insignificant in 1775? Or is that you are simply acting the coward when you try to change the subject instead of answering the question?

You want to talk about everything but the Confederate heritage you defend. No one supporting Confederate monuments or the Confederate flag ever wants to explore the heritage of the Confederate Constitution...that is interesting that you always bring up distractions instead of focusing on a heritage you want to honor.
I wonder what happens when the Sons of Confederate Veterans have a historical meeting? Do they talk about the British, the US and never the Confederate Constitution???
