The Navy is implementing a plan to cut fried foods out of its chow halls, and some sailors arent pleased with it, taking aim at Michelle Obama.
But it turns out theres no reason for them to be busting out the #ThanksObama on social media. While the first lady has worked to get healthier food on the school lunch menu, she has nothing to do with setting the Navys nutrition policy.
In addition to the elimination of fried foods, whole milk will be replaced with skim, while fruits and vegetables will be pushed more.

Something odd about a woman with a huge butt dictating diet to other people
Decision still being made by the same suck ups who want to curry favor with them.
Yea, let’s calorically starve our military. Great idea.
Healthy eating is great, but people who work and train hard need calories.
Sounds like the base galley’s will have to close due to lack of interest (that is what they want anyway) and the ships will be throwing a ton of food away as Sailors run to the ship’s store to buy food they will eat. And some of the lucky ones will ask their Chief and Officers to give them a decent meal out of their Mess’.......And the Captain’s Office Staff will have it luckiest of all as they can get the Captain’s Mess Specialist to hook them up. There are ways around EVERYTHING. And you are right....the fattest First Lady since Eleanor Roosevelt trying to tell others what to eat. Atrocious.
Calories and fats.
Nothing at all wrong with fat in the diet of an active person. Beats the tar out of the sugar that is used as a substitute for taste in many foods.
Exactly... when that 700 pound Amazon loses 550 pounds I’ll listen to her diet advice. Until then she can STFU.
Glad I’m not in the Navy anymore. It has really changed since my day.
Well, the Navy has to somehow pay for all of that $35/gallon green jet fuel their fighters are using so they had to sacrifice purchasing cooking oil for the troops food.
I swear the ‘healthy eating’ mantra is as big a fraud as the whole ‘climate change’ thing.
“Healthy eating is great, but people who work and train hard need calories.”
An admittedly extreme example, but still makes your point, you may remember Michael Phelps, the Olympic champion swimmer.
It was reported that, prior to working out, he ate about the equivalent of five breakfasts, milk and other things that he obviously burned off by day’s end. It’s truly mind boggling the quantity and variety of food he ate in one sitting.
Those who work hard physically need lots of protein, carbs, etc. This PC military is for the birds.
the military takes its lead from civilians...... this is a Obama supplicant in the pentagon trying to curry favor with the white house.
The evil sow. Some young sailor works long and hard. He has his diet dictated by someone who has never worked a day in her life.
Absolutely right! So-called "healthy eating" is a play on words to fool people. It is not necessarily healthy, and often-times hurtful to someone forced to eat the crap that passes for "healthy". When that gets pointed out, they'll change the name to something else, like "life-supporting eating". It is all a lie.
Do they still have mid-rats?
greasy fries,, greasy burgers,, yummy
That and the hot pastrami samwiches we'd nuke and devour..
Okinawa.. Futemna
Don't touch my diet, Moochelle!! or my memories.. ;-)
This is outrageous
At Parris Island, Marine recruits were fed a 5,000 calorie /day diet back in the 1960’s.
