The Atlanta Chapter of the NAACP is calling for the removal of the Confederacy from Stone Mountain Park. Local chapter president Richard Rose says, “It is time for Georgia and other Southern states to end the glorification of slavery and white supremacy, paid for and maintained, with the taxes of all its citizens.” According to Rose, “all of this recognition of Confederate generals is upholding the white supremacy on which the Confederacy was founded and the war was fought.” He goes on to say, “all of this should have ended in 1865 when Lee surrendered to Appomattox.” He’s referring to, what historians refer to as, one of the last battles before Confederate Army General Robert Lee surrendered to Union Army Lt. Ulysses Grant on April 9, 1865. Recent debate about the emblems was sparked by the mass killings at Emanuel A.M.E. Church in Charleston, South Carolina. Alleged gunman Dylann Roof was seen in photographs posing with the Confederate Flag. While some consider the flag as a commemoration of their heritage, others consider it a symbol of hate. On Friday, South Carolina removed the flag from its statehouse grounds.
Georgia removed the Confederate emblem from its flag in 2001, though the “Stars and Bars” from the First National Confederate Flag remain on the state flag. The Confederate Flag still flies at Stone Mountain Park, which is owned by and run by the State of Georgia. Many, like Congressman Hank Johnson, see the park as a museum for the Confederacy. According to Johnson, “where do we draw the line, do we blast the faces off of Stone Mountain?” Rose says “yes”. He adds, “they can sand blast Lee, Jefferson Davis, and Jackson off tomorrow. I’d be extremely elated.”

Are they going to recall the 1925 Stone Mountain Commemorative Half Dollars and remove the image from them? It doesn’t matter, whatever is done will never be enough, those on the left will be perpetually offended it is necessary to them that there is discontent.

Oh yes it does. Every show or commercial on television has a colorful person in a position of authority because white people are to dumb ass to do anything anymore. Most judges or police captains are colorful, even beer and insurance commercials have white guys playing the dumb ass and a woman or a colorful person showing him how to do whatever it is because he is a witless idiot. Even I recognize this and I am a female. Chickification colorfication and now homofication rule the day. The only white guys glorified on TV are the algore sex poodle effeminate metrosexual type not considered a threat. In the words of Dana Carvey, what happened to algore, “he put on a little weight and his queen came out.” Sorry had to rant. So tired of the beat down on whites and especially white guys.

Not much mention, however, of the pics of him burning an American flag, and spitting on another Old Glory...doesn't fit the narrative.
Have not had a TV in over a decade. Occasionally see it in bars, restaurants and hotels though. My last impression was you had to be gay to be a male actor in TV now.

Excellent word. I know many have had it. I met with men today on another matter. The cynicism has turned to rage and not just at the demorats. The anti white hatred and racism may get pushed back. We are close.
I’m from way up north and have no connection to the South but my undying love for a giant black man named Junior who sold his indescribably fine barbecued ribs from the porch of his home/general store in the lonely farm country outside Oxford Mississippi.
Best food I ever ate, so much so that it is difficult to consider anything eaten since that day actual food.
I am also a poor horseman if reasonably fit, disciplined and an above average marksman.
But when the day comes that Freepers or free men in general raise a call to arms to protect the statuary, memorials and burial grounds of historical/fallen heroes who fought for love, honor and the principles of this country, north and south, please send me word.
I will be there as quickly, fully provisioned, as a pickup can be legally driven.
