Map: Sanctuary Cities, Counties and States (More than 200 of them)
Center for Immigration Studies ^ | July 2015 | Bryan Griffith, Marguerite Telford

More than 200 cities, counties, and states across the United States are considered sanctuaries that protect criminal aliens from deportation by refusing to comply with ICE detainers or otherwise impede open communication and information exchanges between their employees or officers and federal immigration agents. These state and local jurisdictions have policies, laws, executive orders, or regulations to this effect. These sanctuary policies obstruct federal law authorizing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to administratively deport illegal aliens without seeking criminal warrants or convictions from federal, state, or local courts. Although federal regulations plainly require cooperation, the federal government has never sued nor sanctioned a sanctuary jurisdiction, nor denied federal funds.

Jessica Vaughan, CIS director of policy studies, who helped pull the map together, said the number could go over 300.

"One could also argue that any jurisdiction that provides drivers licenses, or welfare benefits, or public housing, or municipal ID cards is a sanctuary," she explained.

Outrageous to have sanctuary cities. There is no justification to have them, as Jeanine Pirro pointed out.

One of the Connecticut cities is incorrect.

New Haven was one of the first of such cities in the country - East Haven (Staven to the locals) most certainly is not.

Almost all of them say they won’t comply with ICE detainers — without a warrant, or unless ICE agrees to cover the cost. Not exactly what I’d call sanctuary.

Immigration laws are the “law of the land”. Everyone of these entities deserves no recognition; they are accessories to murder. If they (and the half breed) can defy the law of the land, then I can also.

We MUST take a stand. Much more than cheap labor and a bloc of votes is at stake. IMHO, the REAL driving force is establishing a North American Union.
