If he had a Speech Writer, he would be using a Teleprompter.

The Donald doesn’t use a Teleprompter just like Machete don’t Text.

Besides, does anyone seriously think that The Donald would stay on Script reading off a Teleprompter in the first place? I just can’t see it.

Someone asked on an earlier Thread why Trump seems appealing to many People. Well, he rants just like we do.

What I found pretty amazing is that he would be telling a story and someone from the audience would scream something like, “what about ISIS?”. He would answer that person, go down that rabbit hole for two or three minutes and then pick right back up where he left off in the original topic. Pretty remarkable, he did it several times.

If Trump hired speech writers, he would be just another politician. Like he said, he does not need a teleprompter because he speaks from the heart.

Just remember one thing, Reagan was a Democrat for a very long time before he became a Republican.

Minds and hearts change, including the People that we respect the most.

We had universal health care before Obama even came along.

It was the emergency room... where the government mandated under force of law that anyone that shows up gets treated..for free if need be.

He just turned a big problem into a total effing disaster.

Insurance reform, malpractice reform and a two-tier health care system are the answer. Trump is smart enough to see that.

He needs to default on all debt to China and Japan. That be a good start

Yes, this was everyone off the street, not hand-picked audiences most politicians arrange. For a rich person, he sounds pretty Joe-Six-Pack and genuine. His money gives him credibility. No one owns Trump.

Right. Which is why he’s been a supporter right along of a British-style single payer socialist health care system. Uhuh.

A Political Speech doesn’t change my mind.
The problem is, Trump didn’t make a Political Speech.

I look at it as a Common Sense Speech. Well, it wasn’t really a Speech when you think about it. LOL

Cruz is my Guy, but for now Trump is a Contender.

Right now I could Vote a Cruz / Trump Ticket without batting a eye. A week ago, that wouldn’t be the case.

The entire Republican Field is now down to two People as far as I’m concerned, but you never say never.

I left a little room for Carly thinking she might dilute the Democrat Single Woman Emotional Vote, AKA the Moron Vote, but she joined the Trump is a Meanie Cabal and that’s it for her.

"he would make his Presidency a success because it is not in his playbook to fail."

It would be nice if Donald actually laid out his specific plans.

"I've built buildings, therefore I'm the jobs Messiah" is not a plan. "I will make Mexico pay for a wall" is not a solution." I am not impressed by Mr. Trumpet. And I'm troubled by his extreme coziness with leftists in the recent past, his support for universal healthcare, etc., people need to take a breath and look closer.

Then again he DOES breathe fire, and that's what some folks want, which given the incompetence of the political class, I do understand.

EXACTLY, I had mentioned that on an earlier Thread.

Great minds my FRiend.

Now, ask yourself this. Have you EVER seen a Politician do that before? I’m nearly 62 and I don’t think I ever have.

I'm extremely cautious about taking a candidate seriously who 7 years ago gave big money to Hillary, then to Clinton crony Terry McAuliffe, then 4 years ago to flaming leftist Rahm Emanuel.

He needs to come forward and explain his very recent conversion from Stupid Man of the Left to Conservative champion. The guy is a showman for sure, and I'm highly suspicious he's a P T Barnum looking for a tent-full of suckers.

“Could this guy actually win?”

No. But he’s making some good points.

Walker is the guy we should get behind. Walker can win it all and he’s just the man to go to DC and clean house, big time.

"a. tear into Trump even more than they already have (which hasn’t worked)

None of the other candidates have been "dumping" much on Trump, Carly might light into him at the debate, which could be entertaining. She's very quick to call people on things. In fact, many will disagree, but I see Trump as a guy who is showing what draws attention, and Fiorina's the only other one with that kind of rapid-fire offense and sass.

But part of me sees Carson as the sort of anti-Donald, the "Speak-softly-and carry-a-big-stick" guy (not a concept Trump would relate to) who can be very disarming, focusing on the faulty logics of the left and relentlessly dismantling their premises with a smile on his face.

He did mention that he gives money to everyone. You have to. Anyone in politics knows that rule.

On the health care issue, if Trump does it he will do it right. This is the kind of thing he is very, very good at.

Actually, I did.

“Single payer.” “A centralized agency.”

Perhaps it is you who needs to read it again.

Or maybe you just need to think through what those words actually mean.

I loved when he said he would tell Ford, ‘Congratulations on your new plant in Mexico, now we’re going to charge you 35% tariff on every car and truck you bring into the U.S.’

I know he couldn’t unilaterally do this

Ha....simple...just do to the imported ford vehicles what the French did to stop the flood of Japanese made VCR units.....

They dedicated a special import office in the French village of Poitiers to handle all imports of VCR units....

Trucks were backed up in rural France around Poitiers for miles....

ESSAY - THE BATTLE OF POITIERS - NYTimes.com

www.nytimes.com/.../essay-the-battle-of-poitiers.ht... The New York Times

Nov 22, 1982

PARIS— In 732 A.D., as the Saracen invaders from Syria and North Africa threatened to sweep across Europe, an intrepid French duke called Charles the Hammer assembled an army at Poitiers, near Tours, and saved the European continent for Christianity by beating back the Moslem horde.

The Second Battle of Poitiers is now being fought. France's Socialist Government, determined to protect the video tape recording market from the invading Japanese, selected Poitiers to be the customs bottleneck. In that small town, tens of thousands of video tape recorders built in Japan and avidly sought by French customers are currently stacking up in warehouses. A handful of customs inspectors, hand-picked for slowness, has cut the clearances from 100,000 per month down to 8,000. An anguished Japanese exporter, Hitachi, has taken a full page advertisement to plead: ''We are not Saracens.''

This is the same form of protectionism-through-harassment at which the Japanese have led the way. President Mitterrand - Francois the Hammer - is out to ensnarl Japanese producers in red tape while a company owned by the French Government can produce video tape recorders locally. Meanwhile, lest French owners of Japanese VTR's tell their friends about the advantages of the video marvels, an army of French tax snoops has been sent out to knock on doors and collect a tax on every set in a French home.

Thus the French Socialists play hardball foreign trade. They are out to replace ''Japan, Inc.'' with ''France, Inc.'' The Socialist idea was to select certain industries for government aid and then make certain that those industries succeeded, no matter what under the-table protectionism or government subsidy was required.

On top of that, Socialists took over the nation's banks and key industries, increased social spending and reduced the work week.

[....and we all know how that turned out....from the New York Slimes...../snicker]
