Iowa has NEVER been anything CLOSE to “conservative”. Too much time in the “sack” w/ the BIG “Agri-Business” “Interests”. ALL Iowa Politicians(Local, State and Federal) are and have been bought and paid for by BIG Corporations(Ethanol etc).

Nothing personal but it’s more than that

The sort of folks who settled Iowa and the rest of the upper Midwest have proven to be less socially conservative for any number of reasons

Lutheranism maybe

Germanic and Scandinavian affections for such cultural mores

Hell I don’t know but 51% whites in Iowa voted In 2012

10% of whites in Alabama voted Obama in 2012

You’re welcome to tell me why you reckon this is

It also explains why the GOPe and libs and media are purging my heritage as we speak

And some Freepers assisting

I’ve lived in Iowa. They are very much like sheep. They are easily led with little individualism in their soul. They follow the old media crowd. Agriculture is big in Iowa but I don’t have anything against private enterprise. Oddly, I think it built the country.
