Which is why one must wonder why there are so many anti-Papists on FR. It seems the only denominations standing against the homosexuals are Catholics, Mormons and black churches. The others willingly have that shoved down their throats.

I recall something out of the Mormons about the time of Romney agreeing with gay boyscouts that makes me think they’re not necessarily as solid as one might think.

The BSA National President at the time the BSA changed its membership policy to allow openly homosexual youth was a Mormon.

He traveled to SLC just before the convention of delegates (who were going to “vote” on the matter) and when the “vote” results were announced, SLC was essentially silent on the matter of openly homosexual youth in the BSA. Draw your own conclusions, but coincidences aren’t always just coincidence.

Previously, when the trial balloons were floated, SLC had come down pretty hard and did a pretty decent job of popping those balloons.

The BSA gets a lot of “free” money from SLC Scouting as a result of ghost membership fees paid. They register every youth of Scouting age on their membership rosters, regardless of church or Scouting activity.

The Mormons were the recipients of a pretty nasty backlash as a result of their support for Prop8 some years ago...I suspect they have taken a different tack with regards to homosexuality since then.

And FTR, there was a thread on the RF that had many responses to what churches were resisting/rejecting homosexuality...it’s more than you think.
