If it’s true, that’s awesome. We’ll never get our country back until we learn to tell usurping judges to go to hell.

But, admittedly I’m skeptical that the governor will persevere here.

Give them a chance to reconsider.

Start impeachment proceedings against them if they don't. The Supreme Court is supposed to be a co-equal branch, not a superior branch.

If I can use a crude expression ,hope not to offend, but Mary Fallin has some balls here.

I read on another thread that she stated that there are three co-equal branches of government - executive, legislative, and judicial. And that the judicial branch is equal, and not superior, not in a position to order the other branches to take action like this.

Yeah... I thought about posting a story this morning. Fallin says there are 3 co-equal parts of government. The commandments aren't going any where. Said there will be an amendment to our state constitution taking out the language that the state supreme court twisted. That process will take about a year and nothing is going to change in the mean time. 82% of Oklahoma Citizens agree with her. She also points out that we honor indian heritage and their religious beliefs, and a variety of others.

The ACLU is calling foul. They say she is in contempt of court, yada yada yada. Be interesting to see what happens when they take it to the SCOTUS. But for the foreseeable future.... the monument isn't going anywhere.

It’s high time the states in this union started telling its central oppressive government that this nonsense has to stop.

There may be a simple way to get around this. Put up the Code of Hammurabi, see which laws people would rather live under. The Hammurabi Code is really whacked.

Let’s see... 7 justices said the monument had to go, so let them go down there and do it.

Good to see some push back!

It only makes sense to maintain the status quo since the appeals process is not over.

Not unusual for a top court to give the losing government time to amend their ways and work around the ruling (see: SCOTUS giving DC months to find a new & insightful way to suppress RKBA despite its broad & absolute ruling). So in this case, given that moving the monument in a restorable fashion is very difficult, the OK court should give the gov time to adjust the legislation leading to the given verdict.

Great! Let’s see a good test of the resolve of the black-robed tyrants.

He should send it away. Away to D.C. and make everyone there read it and follow it each and every day.

To paraphrase Stalin (darn! I never thought I’d do *that*):

The court? How many divisions does the court have?

The typical republican would take down the 10 commandments and say how hard we are going to fight this. Then you’d never see the 10 commandments again unless you open your bible.

you can get a judgement, but you can’t squeeze blood from a turnip

you can make a ruling but you can’t force the stone to walk away
