WP wasn’t impressed when we were ahead.

1. Party affiliation is always in play. It’s not a demographic.

2. Beware of ALL polls. They’re all over the place in the US right now. In other countries, where they are consistent, they’re consistently wrong. They said the Greek referendum was a toss-up, and that turned out 61 to 39. In the UK, they also said it was a toss-up, and the Conservatives finished ahead of Labour by 6.5 percent of the vote, and an outright majority in the House of Commons.

You cant blame them. Look how presidential Hillary has looked on the campaign trail I am thinking of voting for her myself. She has more energy than Bill Cosby at happy hour.
This Cruz guy is crazy wanting us to follow the constitution, protect the border and become fiscally responsible. /S

“Democrats long have enjoyed the advantage over Republicans in Gallup’s measures.”

‘Gee, I wonder why.’

About 20 years ago I took early retirement and on the financial advise from our CPA, I didn’t work for a year.

I dced the phone # I had used for years to avoid calls from customers for decades, complaining about the new sales rep.

In a few weeks, I started getting phone calls from Gallup, Pew, the gay Chronicle, and ABCNNBCBS.

The calls started at about 10 am and would go until about 3pm on what were normal workdays.

They were targeting the non working people to poll.

After a couple of weeks, when I got a call asking if they could have my opinion.

I said sure: I’m an opinionated Republican, Christian, Navy Vet married to the same woman for decades.

Usually, I would hear a click as they hung up.

Another fake poll. Similar to the one that produced a 62% favorability for homosexual marriage.

I expect those identifying as Republican are decreasing because supporting Republicans and electing Republicans has proven to make no real difference in the past three national elections, even after giving Republicans control of both houses of Congress.

That was true in 2006 and in 2008 (the bad economy didn't help Republicans any in 2006, either).

But Republicans were able to make something of a comeback in 2010 and were doing pretty well earlier this year.

What I suspect happened is that the press spun the the gay marriage decision as such a victory for the president and a cause for celebration that enough swing voters figured that was the way the wind was blowing and they had to be Democrats now.

Certainly all the hoopla helped drive other issues which might be more troublesome for the Democrats off the TV screen for a while.

Gee, I wonder why.

Seriously! I mean, who'd be surprised by this? Why choose Democrat-lite when you can go for the real deal?

According to the graph, the Republicans went from even with the Dims to a drop in the first quarter of this year alone. I think that would indicate disillusionment with Boner and McConnell and their caving on every major issue from after the 11/14 mid-terms until the end of the first quarter: cromnibus, the debt ceiling, illegal executive amnesty, funding Obamacare and everything else fully, etc.

The gay marriage decision and TPA would not be reflected in the first quarter. The second quarter just ended and is not included in the graph. Will probably look worse with second quarter added to the graph.

I’d like to see the results if they asked the question:

“Do you identify with the Democrat Party, the Republican Party, or would you prefer to nuke both of them from space, just to be sure?”

Tagline...

The country may well have “jumped the shark” if a conservative can’t win the presidency after the most ruinous leftist, incompetent, and usurping fraud ever foisted upon us, and if not now it may never elect one again. Sorry for the pessimism but that’s where I’m at.

WashPost cheerleading ... or ... are voters disgusted with RINO impotency despite two massive election mandates to reverse Obamaism? (But if the later, surely the patriot voters wouldn’t desert to the belly of the beast!)
