CONCORD - Senator Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign gets a big boost from three of the state’s most conservative Republican leaders.
"But for most, we can only guess, and for others the guessing is over and we are disappointed. With Senator Cruz, we do not need to guess and he will not disappoint.’’
That was former House Speaker Bill O’Brien who backed Newt Gingrich in 2012.
The Texas senator’s leadership team reads like a Who’s Who of the most prominent, hard-right conservatives.
"So it comes down to this,’’ O’Brien concludes. ``Others talk the talk and we either don’t know if they walk the walk or they have already walked away from us.’’
Former Senator Bob Smith says that like Cruz he too got his start as a lone-wolf maverick.
"There is also a personal story for me supporting Ted Cruz because he reminds me of me when I started out,’’ Smith said.
Executive Councilor Dave Wheeler says Cruz hasn’t gotten Potomac fever.
"So many go to Washington representing their constituents and before you know it, they suffer from a disease known as peer group shift,’’ Wheeler said.
State Democratic leaders mocked the support for Cruz.
“It’s no surprise that Bill O’Brien, Bob Smith, and David Wheeler have officially supported Ted Cruz, who voted to shut down the government costing the economy $24 billion,’’ said Democratic Party Chairman Raymond Buckley.
"Their out-of-touch views prioritize obstruction rather than building up middle class families and are bad for New Hampshire.”
This is the first primary, winning the hearts, minds and rolodexes of seasoned activists. Cruz hasn’t won but this is an impressive start.

He is a true intellectual. He is capable of being a critical thinker-—and that scares the Left to high heaven.
They have been attacking virtue and Natural Law/Reason (indoctrinating pride in perversions/dysfuncitons through TV and “schooling”) for a half of century-—trying to make everyone so devoid of Traditions and History (Wisdom)-—that they believe all the rhetoric and lies that the Left continually dishes out.
AND the masses are TRAINED to “feel” uncomfortable-—and are targeted and alienated— if they DARE “think” outside the box-——always if they disagree with the Marxists ethics of slavery and vice and collective culture.
Individuality (critical thinkers) and Right Reason and Natural Law (our Constitution) is incompatible with Stalin’s constitution and those people, like our Founders, are dangerous to the Power structure.

We were told Ted Cruz was toast, finished, he lost most of his supporters ?
That’s it, he’s done it now, I won’t support Ted Cruz or vote for him because he picked up a big endorsement from NH’s top Conservatives, a dose of sarcasm of course.
