Too many black yutes watched re-runs of Dukes of Hazzard. Thank goodness TV land cancelled the show.

This is a picture of Chicago residents lined up to buy heroin.

I'm skeptical...

I grew up in the SW 'burbs. Would take the BN into Union Station.

I've bought two cops, one alderman, one traffic court judge. That Obama was 'elected' not once, but twice, used up all my faith in the electoral process.

In 1968, my grandfather got a vote reminder card from the Cook County Democratic party. When my father called them to point out that Granddad had been in Waldheim Cemetery since 1940, they thanked him and offered to update the voter rolls.

I like to think that Granddad still voted Republican in the 1942, '44, '46, '48, '50, '52, '54, '56, '58, '60, '62, '64, and '66 elections, anyhow, but I have my doubts.

“McCarthy said the system failed Amari. His father, who has been arrested 45 times and has a lengthy criminal record, should not have been on the streets, he said.”

Even conservatives complained when California passed their 3-strikes law. The IDIOTS on our side simply CANNOT COMPREHEND that cities operate this way - with local ‘judges’ equating jail to slavery, so no one gets jailed, even after 45 arrests.

It’s sad this boy had to die for “the cause”, but it’s even sadder that no one will give a damn about it.

Blame Democrats for their New Deal, Great Society, decades of welfare, and creation of “The Hood.” They created poverty and the only way out for many is through drugs and crime.

The criminal justice system is set up by politicians, most of whom are liberal. The system frustrates cops constantly.

“how about blaming fatherless families?”..........

That 7 year old seems to have had a father in his presence when he was shot. Does not mean the father was a good father since he had quite a rap sheet under his name.

That's how the Chicago Sun Times identified that photo when they ran it (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3304789/posts) - and I can't think of a likelier explanation. Just another testament to the ongoing failure of the War on Drugs.

3-strikes has problems of its own; I'd rather see the media get more mileage out of if-it-bleeds-it-leads by running Amari's picture in conjunction with (attempted) interviews of the last several judges who put his thug POS father back on the street.

Fortunately, our dimmer Republicans like passing laws to protect morality. My personal favorites are anti-drug laws.

Suppose all drugs were legalized. Who would truly miss all the ODed druggies? They are not useful to the work force, they are drain on taxes, whether or not they are in jail. They breed, go on welfare, steal to feed habits, all because they can't tolerate reality. They are life without worth.

Morally we can't kill them, but why can't we let them dispose of themselves?

What I'd miss even less is the enrichment of criminals that anti-drug laws bring about.
