Breitbart ^ | July 5, 2015 | Pam Key

Sunday on Fox News Channel’s “MediaBuzz,” Republican presidential candidate and billionaire business mogul Donald Trump addressed his controversial comments on some Mexican immigrants being rapist and murderers said he was simply commenting on media reports on border crime, therefore he “can never apologize for the truth.”

Host Howard Kurtz asked if he should apologize.

I’ve always thought Trump was a buffoon, but he has definitely gotten my attention and respect recently.

It is a breath of fresh air for a politician to not back down from the cold, hard truth.

There is a lot at stake for the evil left

You're certainly correct about that. And the real threat here is not from the crime wave, as bad as that is. The real threat here is to a fundamental concept of our society: the rule of law.

The left is now ignoring immigration laws completely. Those laws just don't matter. And I fear this is just a start.

A little history from the resident history prof. Now I am NOT comparing Trump to Lincon, rather the circumstances, but . . .

In 1860 Lincoln was so unknown at the GOP convention he wasn't listed on the "program of candidates". Lincoln had many issues, some good, some bad, but he HAMMERED slavery expansion in the territories (the illegal immigration of the day). It pushed him to the top, because everyone else but Seward was afraid to really push it.

William Jennings Bryan also rode a single issue to his party's nomination (he lost). The point is, people WILL respond to guys who are "single issue" candidates---if it is a critical issue that no one else will address the right way.

These RINO elites are showing their true colors

Jeb when asked about it said that Trump does not represent the Republican Party. For once, I agree with Jeb. Any party that would consider Jeb as the heir- apparent doesn't deserve to even share breathing space with Donald Trump!

I can no longer support a Republican Party that chooses Jeb or the Jebster wannabees.

Wait til Trump broadens his criticisms to include the H-1B visas and says "No American worker should ever have to train his foreign replacement."

You wanna see the unions abandon Hillary?

Now, as I have said, this is just the beginning, and Trump had NO policy positions on a lot of serious things (ISIS, for example). But the media hysteria over illegal immigration had bought him a couple of months for his team to develop these.

“I don’t believe he can win, but it’s a marathon. I want him in the race for the long haul. Other candidates are being forced to take stands. That’s a good thing.”

Ironically, if all that Trump does in the end is force other candidates to STEP UP to issues like Open Borders and Amnesty (and assuming we get someone like Cruz, who is good on these issues) - we may well wind up with a LANDSLIDE VICTORY this year, despite our (party’s) best efforts to again lose.

It’s primary time and it’s right that he knock out Jeb and the others now. Hillary has nothing. No ideas, nothing but 1950s socialism. But it is a question-—will he fight Hillary as tough ax HD had Rubio? We’ll see.

I also watched that interview. Trump came across as a serious thoughtful candidate. IMO he has just as good a chance to win the nomination as any other candidate. He and Cruz are the only two even worth talking about.

Me too. This is going to be really interesting since Trump can fund his entire campaign by himself and the reat cant.

twitter: Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump 5h5 hours ago I appreciate the GOP candidates who remain strong on border security. They know I am right. A nation without borders cannot survive.

another tweet from Trump: Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump 6h6 hours ago Rick Perry failed at the border. Now he is critical of me. He needs a new pair of glasses to see the crimes committed by illegal immigrants.
