San Francisco killing sparks national outrage, likely political fallout
SF Gate ^ | 05 July 2015 | Carla Marinucci

The barrage of outraged tweets from GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump decrying the shocking San Francisco slaying of 32-year old Kathryn Steinle signals the start of what may be an intense immigration debate with potential fallout in California, home to the nation’s largest undocumented population.

Social media blazed with anger and frustration at the news that the man arrested in connection with the shooting death at San Francisco’s Pier 14 Wednesday has a rap sheet with seven felonies, was in the U.S. illegally and has been deported to his native Mexico five times — and in April was released from San Francisco Jail despite immigration authorities asking that he be kept in custody.

Particularly galling, many said, was that the release of Francisco Sanchez, 45, followed San Francisco Sheriff’s Department policies ordering the department not to comply with requested immigration holds based solely on allegations that a person is in the country illegally.

My folks and I sailed into SF in 1961 after being stationed overseas for several years. California looked damned good to me back then.

Yup. The “sea lion” excuse is likely BS. You nailed it.

They need one of those signs on northbound I-25 approaching Santa Fe from ABQ!

Why just him? This was going on before him. How long ago was the term “wetback” used and then changed? You think there is someone in D.C. or any other capitol city, state house or city hall? Two words for you: P-shaw.

"Politicians willingly sacrificing innocent people on the altar of political correctness"

The "altar of political correctness" is but a tool that the progressives use to destroy America. It is a tool just as the outrage generated by the heinous acts being carried out by criminals are tools, being used to the same effect.

The progressives are using every tool in their arsenal to destroy this nation. It is past time that we conservatives take off the gloves and start really fighting back, no longer limited to the fight of ideals and politics, I;m talking about getting physically confrontational with these animals. It's time we took to the battlefield..

In the wake of the tragedy, Latinos have signaled that they will not tolerate efforts to turn immigrants into political targets. Rocio Saenz, the first Latina to serve as executive vice president of the Service Employees International Union — a powerhouse backer of Democratic causes and candidates — pledged last week that Latinos will fight back against politicians who try to make political hay by attacking those in the country illegally. “We’re throwing down the gauntlet, challenging the injustice, racism and ambivalence,” she said in a statement. “Get ready, here we come.”

That's the problem, Chica.

Drew, I do the UCRs for my department. I can tell you that anyone that tells you that they know what the crime rate is the United States, in fact, doesn’t.

A third of all police departments in the US do not report their crime stats to the FBI, nor is it even mandatory, UNLESS you participate in Federal grant programs.

Otherwise, you don’t have to do diddley for the DOJ.

You can also be classified as a white OR black Hispanic.

If there were going to be a huge FReeper protest, this would be the place and reason for it.

Did he actually kill some sea lions?

I don't know. Keep in mind, this was Sanchez's excuse. He could've just been drunkenly shooting into a crowd as far as I know. Or maybe she was intentionally targeted?

I trust the SFPD and local politicians to try to mitigate this crime as best as possible.

From article:

“Rocio Saenz, the first Latina to serve as executive vice president of the Service Employees International Union — a powerhouse backer of Democratic causes and candidates — pledged last week that Latinos will fight back against politicians who try to make political hay by attacking those in the country illegally.

“We’re throwing down the gauntlet, challenging the injustice, racism and ambivalence,” she said in a statement. “Get ready, here we come.”

In other words, she is saying that the illegals are a group that has clout with the politicians, as opposed to the majority white cracker racist Americans who are a bit miffed about losing their country. What would happen in the press if a white, anti-illegal alien organization told the illegals, “Get ready, here we come”? Juan Williams would give birth to another Geraldo Rivera, live, on air. It just shows how Americans are whipped (brainwashed) by political correctness.

Just more murdered Americans. No one in power cares.

Those in power care about the progressive narrative.

A few years ago a college student in western Wisconsin was murdered by an illegal from Guatemala. The local authorities (police/courts) and the local news organizations hid the fact the murderer was here illegally.

The media, our federal government and the local authorities are hiding a lot of information that would shock the average American. That shock would move many voters to the right, so it cannot be allowed. Truth and transparency are in short supply.

Oft-deported illegal alien and felon Francisco Sanchez, 45, claims he was shooting at sea lions in front of San Francisco's tourist-crowded Embarcadero when he "accidentally" hit Steinle.

Isn't shooting at sea lions a death penalty offense in San Francisco? The guy's lawyer is absolutely brilliant, in a liberal city, claiming that he was attacking nature and accidentally shot someone. Well, there goes HIS support from illegal lovers.

What a moron. Shooting at Sea Lions is even worse than killing humans according to many of the Kalifornia moonbats. This might actually wake up some of the sheep heading to the corporate slaughter houses.

Had he shot and killed a sea lion, a protected species in San Francisco Bay, he would be in much more trouble. He is now lawyered up courtesy of the City and County of San Francisco. He will have the best money can buy including financial help from La Raza.
Curious: How and where did he get the gun? No one seems to care although it is virtually impossible to legally buy a gun in the City limits.
