Maybe people should get more up in arms about Twitter allowing murderous jihadis to spread propaganda and recruit future terrorists than whether they can better appease Sharpton and Jackson.

Dunno...maybe high.....worldwide they’re 2-3% aren’t they? But they tend to concentrate so it’s hard to tell.

So IT is exempt from affirmative action?

My experience is that it is, for whatever reason. I don't think it will always be that way. I suspect that, the larger the organization, the easier it is to hide incompetency, and I've gravitated towards smaller companies in my career.

It's also an area that ends up being very visible when it screws up. If the customer service manager or the marketing guy screws up - nobody may even notice. If the IT guy screws up, things can grind to a halt in a hurry.

there really are few jobs wherein we need to import cheap labor, unless your reason is to suppress American wages and and increase profits.

Those are exactly the reasons corporations want H-1B.

This is really a simple problem to solve: twitter should simply quit utilizing employment criteria such as education, knowledge, ability, personality, and experience and instead just make random picks from the unemployment line. It’s a great way to achieve “diversity”!

I work with VERY competent black people but I work for a very large and well known company who can go out and find them and if necessary import them.

I sold for IBM and at one time my sales manager was black.

He was excellent and our district lead the region for years, but IBM took no prisoners, if you couldn't cut it you got bounced and color didn't matter.

IBM maybe would give a black person an extra time period to get right but if they couldn't, tough.

SCOTUS just upheld that racial statistics can be used to show racism and discrimination via disparte impact.

Someone has the potential for a lawsuit that will destroy Twitter.

Gay marriage and racism are two different things...

The progressive left would have no problem burning down a Koch business because they only have 1.7 % blacks employed there and the same group would have a gay pride parade at another Koch business...

You are under the mistaken belief the left has consistent values ...

They have Cognitive dissonance...

Their goal is to attain and keep power even if it means being inconsistent on issues...
