Donald Trumps comments about Mexican immigrants during his presidential campaign announcement may be costing him a growing of number of business relationships, but they also appear to have given him a bump in the polls.
According to the results of a CNN/ORC survey released Wednesday, Trump, at 12 percent, sits second behind former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (19 percent) in the race for the Republican nomination. The real estate mogul has jumped 9 points since his announcement, the poll found. Trump and Bush are the only two candidates on the GOP side to see double-digit support among Republicans and Republican-leaning voters.
A Suffolk University poll of New Hampshire GOP voters conducted following Bushs and Trumps presidential announcements had the former Florida governor (14 percent) leading Trump (11 percent) by just 3 points. A Quinnipiac University survey of likely Republican Iowa caucus-goers also had Trump reaching double digits at 10 percent tied for second place with Ben Carson and 8 points behind Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who has yet to formally announce his candidacy.

Trump has to lose money to convey an opposite message.
Therein lies the difference in this campaign.
Also, I'm thinking the only expenses he has had so far is for jet fuel, gas, hotel, food and drinks.
And he's nr 2 in the polls.
Americans all over the country have dropped Macy,
and have determined NBC to be more despicable
than it was (which should have been hard to do).

No one owns Trump. His advantage. He doesn’t have to go hat-in-hand to people begging for money, selling his soul, talking nice, etc. A very refreshing aspect of Trump’s run, which is leaving others to catch up. Good for the party and good for the country.
Losing? More like exposing.
This makes no sense to the hipsters at Yahoo.
I believe that Trump is a flawed, but good person!
We are always left to choose the best person we can find that can deliver what is needed despite their imperfections.
This is the nature of the world we live in.
I love Cruz, but he IS professionally soft spoken ... which ... if I'm in a contemplative state, is just fine ...
But the Supers shoved a speed pill down our throats a few days ago and ain't NONE of us in a calm mood, and Trump is speaking TO us and we're listening.
A friend of mine... way overworked ... complained about how exhausted he was and how badly he needed his family (took a week off RIGHT NOW!) ... and I conversed a little and I told him ... America is in a psychotic state right now and the Karma is overwhelmingly hostile to tranquility ... especially to a sensative man.
The DC elite don't get it. You don't compromise on principle. You don't give those who want to destroy you an opening. And you never change a view for monetary gain or to save yourself from embarrassment.
Damn it! I want to say what's on my mind like it's the 1960s. I want TV and movies and music not to be rigged for thought control. I want discussions of things that weak-willed wimps find offensive, not censorship.
Maybe Trump can wake up the sleeping giant. Nobody else seems to be inclined that way.
And if Trump wants to, he can make a fortune. Made in USA high quality campaign gear with subtle logos saying Trump 2016. I'd wear it like a badge of honor.
And I'll also add to a theme. Trump is imperfect. Deal with it. But he hasn't been blackmailed and he hasn't been compromised.
I feel better after typing that!
Only Trump, in this field of 14 candidates or so candidates, does not a sugar daddy rich donor(s) to keep his campaign going along. Trump has avowed he will not pander to lobbyists. All other 13 candidates need their sugar daddy’s and must acquiesce to their commands.
Trump is willing to sacrifice business deals and profirs, face the antagonistic MSM, and go through the hassle of running a long drawn out national campaign. He is already living a life of luxury most can only dream about.
Why is Trump doing this? I have a guess. He has reached an age (which is close to mine) where more money and more fame ceases to be the primary goal. One thinks about a legacy to leave behind.
What better legacy for Trump except to reverse the decline of America unfolding before our eyes? Illegals by the millions, food stamps by the millions, national debts on path to Greek levels, middle-east as unstable as it ever has been, and American middle class caught with their tits in the ringer.
We should consider ourselves lucky we have someone who does not need lobbyists and sugar daddy’s to pander to. If Trump loses the nomination, the bigger loser will be American middle-class.
The unifying issue is to close the borders! To stop the illegal flow of poor unskilled, criminal and potential terror elements from getting in to US. We can’t afford them!! Take care of citizens first. I feel this is the message that will get people behind our candidate. It’s not Trump, it’s the unifying issue! Why do you think the left is beating Trump up so on this issue? They have done polling! This is the issue.
It’s amazing how the press is able to taint a campaign simply by printing every single protest against the candidate. They act like it’s just news but how is Trump’s comments any more newsworthy than Hillary’s. Why don’t we see in print every American who was turned off by her snide comments.
There’s a plan to destroy conservatives and the media is totally on-board. We need to start blogging on how these outlets pick their stories, how they’re so selective that liberals get a pass and conservatives get hammered.
Trump is a patriot.
