By making this ruling the court has invalidated the marriage laws of more than half the states, . . .

Way more than half. There were only about a half-dozen states which had enacted these sham marriages through the legislative or referendum process.

Most of the rest of them, including ours, had it imposed on them by judicial fiat and a gutless governor unwilling to resist. That's a main reason why he is no longer governor and the only GOP governor ousted in the 2014 election cycle.

“So, what else should we do in light of this Supreme Court ruling?

1. First, don’t panic! God is still on the throne.

2. We need to remember that Romans 8:28 is still in the Bible.[”Moreover we know that to those who love God, who are called according to his plan, everything that happens fits into a pattern for good.”]

3. We need show this culture what a biblical marriage looks like.

4. We need to show the love of Christ to everyone!

5. We need to engage all people with the gospel.

6. We need to pray.

Let’s not give up or lose hope.”

I think my response is going to be to talk with each of my grand daughters at length whenever I get the chance to.

I had to watch them the other day and my youngest had gotten into a fracas with the middle one (older still sleeping) Ages 7-9 and 11. She ultimately knew she was wrong and went and hid in her closet, ashamed. I had the middle one tell her to come down, I wanted to talk with her and she finally did.

We talked for over an hour. I never said anything about her altercation with her sister. I asked her about school and grades and accomplishments, boys, how many, what to do when you don’t like them, what she thinks.... ideas about marriage, how hard is school, etc. Really it was just of whole collection of my asking stuff and listening to her. She forgot all about what put her in the closet. But I came away with the sense that she if far beyond where I was at that age.

I want to do that with all of them - I told their mother, too. But I am going to gently focus some of the questions about what specifics they are being taught now about relationships and stuff. We’ll see.

Wow just a few minutes ago I was channel surfing. I stopped when I saw Whoopie Goldberg face angry. She was ranting about the 10 Commandments does not mention Gay Marriage. Also that Jesus walked among the sinners and sat with them.

Hey Whoopie!

1) The 10 Commandments does not mention Polygamy, Incest nor Pedophilia and other orientations.

2) Yes Jesus sat with the sinners BUT he did not partake in their activities.

The other airheads were all nodding in approval.

7) we need to get active politically and vote out the un-Godly and vote in solid christian men and women who use their votes to follow the teachings of Christ and the Bible.

We should just re-name marriage to mean a religious ceremony as opposed to a civil one taking place after the law’s enactment. The govt may have to recognize gay marriage but the people do not. I cant think of a better way to pizz off militant gays than responding to a “wedding” announcement with “isn’t that special”. Likewise use air quotes when talking about a gay “wedding”.
