Other countries don't have America's gun problem.
Here, we take a look at the data that shows why America is so unlike the rest of the world when it comes to the popularity and the abuse of guns. We'll look at the role that policymakers play in the gun-control debate, and we'll look at what can be done (if anything).
It isn't pretty, but it's important. Hundreds of thousands of American lives hang in the balance.

Exactly...any article that has hyperbole in its title is immediately suspect...
This reinforces my position to dismiss anything from BI...they’ve gone full tilt liberal.
I did that on a thread a while back. If you subtract out the black and Hispanic homicides, then the US white homicide rate is about the same as the European rate. Maybe a bit lower.
Mexico, with draconian gun control, has a much higher homicide rate than the US (21.5 per 100,000 versus 4.7 for the US)
You would think that if any group of folks on the planet would be armed to the hilt it would be Jewish people.
Do you mean ‘homicide’ rate? That is the term used in vital statistics. That means if you have to kill someone in self defense, that counts as a homicide, but it is justified, so cannot be considered murder. Take a look at knife slaughter in other countries (including so-called civilized places) that outlaw personal gun ownership. Humans are no less violent in other countries than in America. Take a look at the lovely South AFrica post-Apartheid. I think Americans are pretty restrained all things considered. However, as the lawless ones continue to immigrate into our country unfettered in the notion of civilized behavior, that certainly does a lot to drive up the numbers. No one in ‘power’ seems to want to deal with that for some strange reason.
Which number is reduced significantly if you subtract the number of gangsters dying in combat with other gangs. Hardly representative of the gun owning demographic.
Repatriate the citizens of the inner-city ghettos to Africa (Liberia) and the gun problem in the US will disappear.
Sorry. Musta forgot. :>}
The article is rife with bunk and phony statistics and I am given to thinking the author “Searched” long and hard for the graphics, which are wrong.
Nit picking is what is taught to make a false case appear valid. The warmunists to it all the time so the momunists might as well do it too.
What an absolutely ignorant thing to say.
Just a bit more horse sh*t from yet another horse’s *ss.
Wrong again!
Banning guns means death to honest citizens.
MILLIONS of lives hang in the balance. If our 2nd Amendment is destroyed what makes anyone think that the extreme Leftists in Washington will not kill a few million of us like their Socialist heroes in the Soviet Union or Mao during the “Cultural” Revolution?
Shall NOT be infringed!
America is not even in the top half of all nations for murder rate. Maybe the reason is the ability to defend ourselves from would be murderers.
The top nations are in Africa, South America and Central America. Because culture matters.
For the top 10 murderous countries, guns were only used in 40% of murders. You don’t need a gun to murder someone. Knives, machetes, and clubs work just dandy.
As always, the gun grabbers are easily shot down by the facts. Stupid commie liberals never learn.
Link to murder rate by country from liberal Wiki. If they could have spun it, they would have spun it.

If black and hispanic stats are omitted, America has a crime rate roughly equivalent to that of Switzerland. So I’ve heard.
If I taught statistics, I would use this article as an example of how to use statistics to distort the truth.
“blatant lies, distortions and false correlations”
“rife with bunk and phony statistics”
Yes, and they don’t care!! They know very few people will ever check. They also know that many other people and msm will just pick up the lies and reiterate them over and over.
They don’t care!!
