The reverse is true. Same-sex marriage is a result of a decline, not just in the US but worldwide, of Christianity of all denominations. The popular support for same-sex marriage in the Irish Republic is even more surprising than what happened here on 6/26. Religion abhors a vacuum. As Christianity dissipates, Islam will fill the void. After all, other than secularism, what else is there?
