The original Confederate flags were all hand made. Its now a symbol of Rebellion (as it was long ago). Their are other flags too—The Flag of the Whiskey Rebellion, The Tea Party Rattlesnake Flag, the Appeal to Heaven Flag of Washington. The “Come and Take it” flag of Texas.

As per Wikipedia, todays’s “confederate flag” was never a national flag of the Confederacy, but rather a naval ensign, which gained popularity through circumstance, perhaps culminating in WWII, where it was flown in battle as an emblem of regional pride, as I understand the account.
Even then it was controversial to an extent, as it was ordered to be replaced by the U.S. flag in one instance, only because it was particular to the South, and deemed not appropriate as an emblem of victory for the U.S. Army.
To me, the Wikipedia account validates my long held assumption that the flag is principally an emblem of regional pride.

How did you decide which one to pick, i.e., what are the advantages and disadvantages of:
- cotton
- polyester
- nylon
- 2-ply 600D Embroidered
- nylon 300D Embroidered
I don't even know what 300D and 600D means.
