Univision's Attack on Donald Trump Backfires
http://newsbusters.org ^ | 6/29/2015 | Jeffrey Lord

Posted on 06/29/2015 9:33:43 AM PDT by dragnet2

The scene comes to mind with the news that Univision has abruptly told Donald Trump that they will no longer carry the Trump-owned Miss Universe pageant. Why? It seems that the network is displeased that in his announcement speech.

And while all this was going on? Univision anchorman Jorge Ramos sent a handwritten note to Trump asking - yes - for an interview. Or in other words? We’re going to break your contract and call you a racist but would you like to sit down for a chat?

So. As a result of Univision’s decidedly unthought-through stab at partisan politics they received in return

1) a lawsuit for breach of contract over the cancellation of the Miss Universe Pageant;

2) a lawsuit for defamation (the poster comparing Trump to the racist killer in Charleston;

3) its executives have been booted from the Trump golf course; 4) a once convivial agreement on building a gate between neighboring properties has been ordered closed;

5) there is now a demand for the resignation of the executive who posted the defaming poster;

6) the private letter revealing anchorman Ramos to be beseeching Trump for an interview has been publicly released; and…and 6;) Trump has received a boatload of priceless publicity that appears as his numbers surge in the polls.

Isn’t it odd that standing behind ones convictions has become a bad thing with many Freepers? And here I thought that’s what the mission statement was all about doing. I don’t see that it got changed...

Must be lotsa libs here then. No conservative backs liberals.

Try to imagine what would happen if all of our Republican Senators and Congressmen suddenly started to mimic Trump? The MSM would be on their knees.

Trump is opposed to many of our firmest beliefs.

OR

Cruz is opposed to many of our firmest beliefs. (trade bills)
Fiorina is opposed to many of our firmest beliefs. (HP CEO)
Graham is opposed to many of our firmest beliefs. (Light in the Loafer)
Walker is opposed to many of our firmest beliefs. (wavered on something)
Perry is opposed to many of our firmest beliefs. (too slow, and stupid)
Rand is opposed to many of our firmest beliefs. (too libertarian)
etc. etc.

There is not one candidate that some FReeper does NOT complain about. You all (Grania not included in this short rant) are a bunch of pussies who whine, bitch and moan 100% of the time.

And as usual, they take exactly the wrong lesson from everything. They should indeed mimic his aggressiveness. Instead they point to it as a detriment to working across party lines.

As long as my beliefs coincide with what Trump says he will get my vote....no matter what party he is in.

Cruz has one, perhaps 2 serious issues. The rest have many, many serious issues.

Simple math.

Dead wrong.

There are some on that list I can and will get behind. And if a liberal or a populist gets the Republican nomination one of those will likely still get my vote in the general election.

Yes, as some declared right here Trump was acting like a 12 year old school girl for standing up to defend against vile nationally broadcasted malicious slander by a major network.

They opined repeatedly saying, "Candidate Trump was not being "Statesmen like" because he defended himself.

According to some folks out there Trump should have just rolled over and took it. How about you Norm?

As much as I don’t want him near the White house, I am 100% behind his pit bull approach to self defense and respect that about him fully.

Mexico, Iran, Communist China and Russia likely agree with that.

Donald is Perot II. He has no intention of winning. He just wants to divert enough votes from the Republican to guarantee a Democrat win.

No other person stands up to bullying like Trump is. The rest cave at the first harsh word from the left.

It was one of Dubya's worst mistakes (God bless'im.)

He donated to Hillary repeatedly and a layndry list of other democrats and liberal causes/foundations. He supports trannies in his beauty pageants. He trashed Pam Gellar for trying to expose islam.

What part of that do you feel will evaporate when he ascends to Barry’s throne?

Rush this morning was talking about offensive versus defensive politics and how the GOP only plays defensive so they can never move the ball forward.

If I never hear that phrase again, my life will improve noticeably.

The real question is, why have Spanish language programming in the United States to begin with? IT’s a Trojan horse to change this from an English-speaking country to a Spanish-speaking country. They are turning the U.S. into a proletarian extension of Latin America.
