Lesbian Wisconsin Senator: First Amendment Makes Clear Christians Must Participate In Gay Weddings
PatDollard.com ^ | June 28, 2015 | Spit Stixx

What she’s saying is that the First Amendment means that you can believe in your heart and mind what you want, but you can’t act on it without federal permission, as far as religion goes. As to her point about a religious objection to providing medical care, Christianity doesn’t allow for letting gays die by refusing them medical care, so that’s a red herring. Big difference between refusing to participate in a wedding and depraved heart manslaughter by refusing to save a life.

“Certainly the first amendment says that in institutions of faith that there is absolute power to, you know, to observe deeply held religious beliefs. I don’t think it extends far beyond that. We’ve seen the set of arguments play out in issues such as access to contraception. Should it be the individual pharmacist whose religious beliefs guides whether a prescription is filled, or in this context, they’re talking about expanding this far beyond our churches and synagogues to businesses and individuals across this country. I think there are clear limits that have been set in other contexts and we ought to abide by those in this new context across America.” – Sen. Baldwin

I think she has a fair read on what the law holds. Roberts notices that SCOTUS didn't expressly allow for the free exercise of religion.

The choice boils down to exercise of religion and civil disobedience; or obey the law.

No religious leaders are required to baptize people or to marry them.

Don’t be too surprised when the Oracles of the Potomac next utters their trademark delphic wisdom supporting her position.

Things need to change, or we are screwed.

What they don’t like, they ignore. They are fixing to separate the boys from the men and the girls from the women with this one.

Funny you mention that...we talk to our kids about this all the time. Isaiah 24:1-6 almost lead me to believe that Yellowstone is going to blow and we may have to flee North America. Not to mention if the Lord causes a Polar Shift...

“you can believe in your heart and mind what you want”

This is exactly what supreme (cough cough) court kennedy said. We can teach and advocate under our 1st amendment right, and by implication, we cannot “excercise” our 1st amendment right.

So now we have Obama and Hillary saying that it is now up to the perverted sodomites to help us in the new understanding of the brave new progressive American way of perversion and sodomy.

Violating prohibition didn't threaten any sort of civil war. Refusing to abide by the recent homo marriage edict won't threaten any civil war either.

The BBC series of “I, Claudius” from the 1970’s had an episode about how the Roman Emperor Caligula forced the Patricians of Rome to work in brothels or participate in orgies he organized.

I thought at the time - “how ridiculous, what government would organize such things, or who would allow themselves to be forced into such things.”

Now I know better. I see how such things could happen, and I can also understand how well-off citizens, in positions of power and much to lose would submit themselves to a random government that could take everything from them.

Denying Christ is now a legal requirement

They don’t want tolerance, they want to force Christians to approve of their perversions and reject Christ.

It is the real mark of the beast

G_D is getting ready to purge the Church in the USA. This is going to be a rough ride. I suspect by the end of this, Faithful Christians will lose all their rights (We will have to learn to live by faith, a good thing) lose all our property (Sell everything you have, give the money to the poor and follow me) and find ourselves on the streets in sackcloth and covered in ashes crying you “repent, for the Kingdom of G_D is at hand.

Sound crazy, it’s beginning. The ride of the climax of mankind is just getting started.

Nonsense. The ruling only applies to incorporated churches.

So disincorporate the churches.

Churches don't fall under the tax code - nor do they fall under this SCOTUS ruling - unless they incorporate.

Americans need to wake up.

“Christians Must Participate In Gay Weddings”

Oh, I’ll participate if you really insist.
I guarantee you won’t like HOW I participate though.

Nor are they bound to abide by equal rights to extend ordination of priests to women.

This lesbo needs to keep her mouth shut when not engaged in her out of normal sexual proclivities.
