Churches who don’t want to preform “weddings” for same sex couples can simply limit their hours and days that they are “open” for those activities... I’m sure my wife and I would have no problem renewing our vows in front of God if it meant tying up an open slot... /wink/

Now that everyone can “marry” everyone else, it won’t be long until family members are strategically “marrying”

I think family members are still illegal but your point is correct. I already riled up my militant lesbian cousin by suggesting that I could marry my straight friend and still have a live in girlfriend to maximize benefit for all involved.

There is nothing that says I must sleep with my "Husband". Nothing says I can't have a live in girlfriend or even that I can't marry that girlfriend while foregoing the state license.

Why should one need a religious objection, to nullify an illegitimate edict?

Why would the state of Texas even put the clerks in a position of having to choose? The state is trying to have it both ways, follow the order as if it was legitimate, but allow individuals to steer clear of the state's acquiescence.

A business will have a very difficult time asserting “religious objection” in a way that satifies the courts. Businesses are generally “public accomodations,” and homosexuals are a protected class.

You will not be able to opt out. A homosexual can force you to do business -- they will bankrupt you and destroy you if you try to opt out.

Refuse to acknowledge their existence - go around them.

Remember, the rouges in black can only tell you WHO you must sell to, rent to, associate with a work, etc., but they can't tell you WHAT you must sell, how to decorate your property, who you must be friends with, nice to, or chat with, or anything else YOU choose to do with your own body.
Bakers - bake only one style cake - one with a cross or man and woman on top. If that's the only style you sell, the homos have to take it or leave it. The rouges can't tell you what you MUST sell.
If you rent, decorate the apt with Norman Rockwell prints of pro-family or heterosexual messages permanently mounted to the walls. Maybe permanently hang crosses or religious prints on the walls if you're Christian. If the homos remove them, you at least get to keep their security deposit to repair the damage they've done. If the homos don't like it, they can rent somewhere else.
Restaurants - the walls belong to you. Mom, dad, and apple pie can be the restaurants theme.
Associations - start a neighborhood activity, but don't invite the homos. Your activities are private events. You can invite only those people YOU want to invite.

Think this way: Pro-hetero perfection: keep everything homo free. Use your imagination. Shun those you have no use for.

The pizza parlor Indiana refused to make pizzas for a gay marriage, got terrorized homosexual Hitler youth, which then got conservatives so riled up, they raised over 800000 dollars for them. They are back in business and financially stronger than ever.

There's no such thing as homo tolerance. It's nothing but forced compliance through intimidation.
Homo tolerance will go down in the history books someday as as "The Big Lie That Almost Destroyed A Nation."

How do I know this? Because I pay no attention to what the talking heads say. I pay attention to what people actually DO. Every time homo pseudo "marriage" was voted on, the American people - in private and behind a curtain - overwhelmingly voted HELL NO!

Factoid:
Rat Romney (GOP, carpetbagger) began this entire thing by FORCING Clerks to obey him and start gay marriage.

FYI - It was Jeb Bush who pushed George Bush to appoint Roberts to the Supreme court. Roberts and Jeb Bush used to work together.

"Just say no to Jeb Bush."

I don’t see those serving the state resigning over this; a few that could retire already may do so, but government employees have had no problems with previous injustices of the state and I don’t expect this to change anything.

BTW, this is a great illustration of how so many “normal” people became cogs in the wheel of the reigns of communism & Nazism.

"How many gay people will demand to be married in the church of THEIR choice? An will be willing to go to court to force it? I think the recent kerfluffle with the bakeries will be a memory. The SC will be flooded with cases. And we have seen how fair they are."

I think you are way to optimistic. I think there will be paid "couples" who work for homo activist organizations who will be sent into churches to test them. The attorneys will already be on retainer and ready to file suit at a moments notice. To add insult to injury, I bet those organizations receive Federal grants to carry out their activities.

The good news is that the Supreme Court hasn't actually "redefined" marriage. What the Supreme Court has decided is that -- in the eyes of the government -- there is no longer any real definition of what constitutes a marriage at all. Marriage will no go back to what it always should have been: a religious institution that defines a relationship between a man and a woman before God.

Believe it or not, a private business may have an easier time doing this than many religious organizations. If a business is set up as a partnership or a closed corporation (i.e., it is not publicly traded) and its religious identity is written into its bylaws, it actually has a very strong leg to stand on in a legal case. This is why Hobby Lobby was successful in their ObamaCare appeal, while many religious organizations that get tons of government funding were not.

People need to learn this lesson - If you dance with the devil you get burnt.

Once you ingest the politicians poison, the principalities in high places gain control of your soul. (Evil has to be invited in)

Your point is correct, and I think both polygamy Incest will be next. What is the compelling state interest in preventing a same sex “marriage” between a granddaughter and grandmother when they obviously cannot breed? According to caesar’s contorted logic, there is none.

Hanging themselves on their own petard.

“Churches who don’t want to preform “weddings” for same sex couples can simply limit their hours and days that they are open...”

I hadn’t thought about that, but yeah that’s another strategy.

I know that there is a huge pity party going on right now, but there is a huge amount of silver in the clouds we got this week. Evil usually sows the seeds of its own demise.

There's another homo plague coming. It's bigger, faster, more powerful, and more deadly than AIDs. We're talking death within hours.

Watch for it. It's already killed two homos in NY. It's still out there waiting to strike. All that's needed is an active carrier.

The homos think they can declare war on nature and natures God and win.
Well, they can't and they won't.

The religious objection law is needed because the clerks have —already— been put on the spot by this SCOTUS ruling.

Clerks who have religious objections need backup, while the legal gears in Texas are set in motion to push back on the ruling.

And the churches have already retained lawyers in -their- defense, well before this SCOTUS decision came down.

And I bet a lot of conservative, christian owned businesses will be changing their bylaws to add religious identity.
