Friday’s 5-4 U.S. Supreme Court ruling made same-sex marriage officially legal nationwide. Great. What’s next?
The Court closed the case of Obergefell v. Hodges, ruling that the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment does not allow states to ban same-sex marriage. But other critical issues facing LGBT Americans have been waiting for the same mix of funding and public interest that carried same-sex marriage over the threshold.

Alongside religious advocacy efforts, changing the internal culture of families and schools seems vital but similarly impossible to achieve through legislation and Supreme Court rulings alone.

Okay, I need an interpreter, what in blazes are “RFRAs”, maybe refried road apples? Secondly what possible difference is there between lesbians and queer women? I realize that the original meaning of queer meant something other than gay like just plain weird but I don’t think it is being used that way here.

Governors and legislatures of the various states and the people still have the option to ignore the USSC’s lunatic ruling based on the fact that marriage is outside the jurisdiction of the federal government.

Yep... The Supreme Court just removed Right Reason and Virtue from our “Justice” System to replace it with the muslim ethic system of sodomy and using others as a Means to an End-——which should have been impossible in a “Just” (rational) World.

What we are likely to see next are provisions made on the Federal level that will then move to the states and into the private sector.
Similar to Affirmative action and diversity quotas.
