Isaiah 3:1-12

1 For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,

2 The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,

3 The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.

4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.

5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.

6 When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:

7 In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.

8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.

9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.

10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

It’s time to kneel down and pray for our nation

Heck I don’t know. I am just ticked off and feel like blowing off a lot of steam. I am going to read Charles Murray’s new book, “By the People” and see what he is suggesting. The withholding tax has most of us by the throat, but other federal taxes can be avoided, like the gasoline tax. If I find a way to avoid paying federal taxes I will do it, and I will not feel the least guilty. We need to find a way to collapse the criminal leviathan, bring about a reordering of society, and create a new nation based on the Constitution. I have little to no idea on how to do it, but someone more clever than me may have an answer.

I’m fine with the removal of the tax exemption. It’s time for churches to decide whose side they are on. God’s or money’s?

So, you are fine with the tax code subsidizing the Sierra Club, but not subsidizing traditional religion. Maybe you would be more comfortable worshipping the earth goddess.

That's a goofy thing to say. I'm saying I don't care what they do with the tax code.... I'm gonna give my money to the church as always. I realize a lot of people won't. They'll stop giving to church and give somewhere else. Its part of the purification process. Today's ruling isn't about taxes, or the constitution or anything else. It is about an attack on God. There is no stopping it. Even the bible tells us what is coming. This government can give tax breaks to whomever they choose for now. But the Lord is coming back and all things will be made new.

“We the people” brought us Obama, Roosevelt, and LBJ. Anyone who believe the mass of steeple are wise is as dumb as the steeple the glorify. Populism is merely socialism for yokels.

I was 3 in 1973. So I never really felt the sting over Roe vs. Wade.

This must have been how it felt back then.

This decision is going to destroy a lot of churches. Are they going to be forced to let gay couples use their buildings?

Or maybe destroying churches is the goal?

All over America, gay couples are going to be showing up at Sunday service with their arms around each other.

They’ll be saying, we want to visit to see if we want to get married here.

And there’s NOTHING we can do about it.

It’s going to destroy churches.

Agreed. I was certain Roberts would side with the “let’s make up laws” side of the bench.

I guarantee you that the real power behind this are the Oligarchs. The Rockefeller Foundation was behind women’s liberation because (as was told to Aaron Russo by Nicholas Rockefeller) only half the population was being taxed. Even Gloria Steinem bragged that the CIA funded MS magazine. To this day the Rockefeller and Carnegie Foundations are behind changes to US Education. Good interviews on youtube by John B Wells (caravan to midnight) with Charlotte Iserbyt and Anita Hoge on this subject.

These Tax-Exempt Foundations are behind the breakdown of the family as well. Look into the Reece Commission in 1953 on TE Foundations. Good interview by G Edward Griffin with Norman Dodd, Lead Investigator of the (House) Reece Commission on youtube.

The impact is on individual rights in general, not “just” religious rights, though that negative impact in itself would be pure evil. IMO, conservatives have strategically erred in allowing this argument to be pitched as gays vs religion. That’s too narrow, too easy for less devout or secular folks to allign with with the “equality” side i.e. gays. Conservatives need to widen the base by hammering the facts: this is NOT only about “marriage equality”. It’s about total, tyrannical control over every aspect of employment, business, education, parent-child relationships, freedom of speech, thought, association. Teachers fired for refusing to discuss anal sex with children, employees fired for failing to be sufficiently enthusiastic about “gay pride” activities which have no business in the workplace to begin with...I could go on. The question at this point is, now that the fix is in, what are we to do? The only answers I can think of: passive resistance. At every opportunity, patronize only businesses that support traditional marriage. And also active resistance. Any employee fired or harassed, sue til they scream, contribute to those in need of legal help, and flood the airwaves with protest. I for one am willing to go to jail on this issue. I am angry. Again I don’t hate homosexuals as individuals, but I have big problems with the gay agenda, the peddling of anal sex and “transgenderism”, fisting and “felching” etc to schoolchildren. This is vile, and it is now the law of the land. God help us all.

Justice Tainted! History repeats. Radical Republicans again needed to fix things.

I look forward to Pres. Cruz's VP presiding over multiple impeachment trials. That should happen relatively late in his term as more Constitutional reinforcements are needed in the Senate than can possibly arrive in 2016. The Democrats showed how to streamline the process when they impeached and convicted Judge Hastings and will need to be often reminded of that to maximize potential throughput. Although impeachment will be needed for egregious and recalcitrant cases, other checks and balances not requiring supermajorities should be promptly engaged. Sen. Cruz has proposed some he'll be happy to sign as President. Newt has suggested several others.

Like it or not, we will get more of what we subsidize by the tax code.. If we subsidize worship of Goddess, we will get more pagan churches.

I understand you are a Christian and I respect that. However, using the tax code to suppress religion will do exactly that.

Subsidizing Christianity through the tax code does not create more Christians. In fact I think a good argument can be made that it actually hurts the church.

>> They can only overturn it via Constitutional Amendment. Veto Power doesn’t apply <<

Yes and no.

In the first place, not all SCOTUS rulings involve the Constitution. Many are simply interpretations of statutes. The Congress certainly can overrule SCOTUS in such matters, but then veto power of POTUS can subsequently overrule the Congressional act.

In the second place, the Constitution gives Congress the power to define the jurisdiction of the Federal courts. Therefore, it’s conceivable that even on a constitutional matter, Congress could limit the jurisdiction of all Federal courts. For example, Congress could pass a law that says no Federal court, including SCOTUS, shall have any jurisdiction over any state law that defines, regulates or otherwise deals with marriage. But then, such a Congressional action would again be subject to a POTUS veto.
