Well, it was a Constitutional decision so that was all I was referring to. But yeah, I gotcha. ; )

I disagree. I don’t think you read my second paragraph. Congress could pass a law that says no Federal court shall hear any marriage-related case on appeal from a state court. If not vetoed, such a Congressional statute would then override a “constitutional” action by the SCOTUS.
