There was never really any chance that the Court would buck Obama this late in the game. It’s clear that the establishment Republicans have not only made their peace with Obamacare, they have adapted and turned it to their advantage in terms of power and finance, and would lose a degree of both if it were repealed.

However, I’ll make a cynical prediction here. I’ll predict that the Court will come out against a constitutional right to gay marriage, both as a way to dampen Conservative ire and as a distraction from the Obamacare decision. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

Let’s face it, the whole gay marriage issue is a circus. There are really not that many gays in the country, most of them are more interested in other things, but the fanatics that are interested make good theater.

If it works out the way I predict, this decision will vanish from the news and all eyes, cameras and commentary will focus on the hysterically outraged poofters — the Confederate flag thing — and whatever issue du jour can be ginned up for the third ring of the circus.

Meanwhile, financially and administratively, the globalist agenda will continue its quiet and implacable advance.

John Roberts will not “break with the right.” He did that with the first obamacare decision. He is firmly on the Left now and will not return to sanity.

It is just an Executive Branch Tyranny. The Court defers to the Executive and does its bidding just as Congress has abdicated its power to the Executive. The Dictatorship is not something that may come if we don’t watch out. It’s here.

The first time SCOTUS refused cert on a Court of Appeals decision applying Windsor to strike down state Defense of Marriage laws, it became obvious either that there were five strong votes to affirm any Court of Appeals decision that went the other way, and the four other Justices didn't want to give them the excuse to do so, or that Roberts had changed sides and there weren't even four votes for cert (which is all that is required) to begin with.

Strangely enough, I wonder whether Scalia will actually side with the liberals here, perhaps in a concurring opinion, on stare decisis grounds. His dissents on the last gay marriage decision quite correctly identified that their logic required that the state DOMAs be struck down (as all but the Sixth Circuit have gone on to do) ...

So? He’s having lunch with friends, and that supposed to prove he’s Gay? You got to try a lot better.

That is supposed to convince me that he is Gay? Sorry it’s not working. You need to come up with better proof and you don’t have it. So give it up. You’re wasting you time and mine.

Marriage is an institution from God; not the states or Fed. govt. They should stay out of it.

And, if a state wants to allow homosexual marriages, then, homosexuals who want to marry can go to that state and get married/live there.

The government should NOT FORCE all states to enact this law.
