In a nation that based its Declaration of Independence on the principle that all men “are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights,” a record 58 percent now say they would vote to elect “a generally well-qualified” atheist as president if their political party nominated such a person.

In a poll conducted June 2-7, Gallup asked 771 adults living in the United States this question: “Between now and the 2016 political conventions, there will be discussion about the qualifications of presidential candidates—their education, age, religion, race, and so on. If your party nominated a generally well-qualified person for president who happened to be an atheist, would you vote for that person?”

58 percent said, yes, they would; 40 percent said, no, they would not; and 1 percent had no opinion. …

Well we’ve had Christians and now a Moslem. But I’m not ready for an atheist. Not until we’ve exhausted the possibilities with Druids.

Obama won the last election 52-48, IIRC.

Is he an atheist, a nihilist, or just a Black Muslim? It’s hard to tell, exactly.

His “Christian Beliefs” are pretty obscure.

We did. In 2008 and 2012.

Worshiping yourself still makes you an atheist.

I do not care about the religion (which church, if any, whether they go to church or not), ethnicity, race, etc. of the candidate. I want a candidate who respects and believes in America, who is transparent on their citizenship, who invokes trust. In other words, character. Then, the issues. No amnesty of any type for illegal aliens, repeal and replace Obamacare, end or limit H1B, etc.

Bottom line is who do I trust to best represent and defend America. If it came down to Rubio and Sanders, I'll vote Sanders. Hopefully that nightmare won't happen!

Right now... Trump, Walker, Cruz. Definitely no to Bush III, Rubio, Christie, Fiorina, Santorum, Jindal, Graham, Perry, and... heck too many to list!

The Catholics have what seems to be an atheist pope, so why not?

Why do I say that he's an atheist?

He doesn't think that lying is wrong or he wouldn't spread the Climate Change Hoax.

He doesn't believe the Bible is true or he wouldn't have mocked God with his “magic wand” statement.

Most political polls today use unrepresentative algorithms to produce fraudulent results. The intent is to influence public opinion, not measure public opinion.

Do not be fooled. Gallup is the worst.

His “Christian Beliefs” are pretty obscure.

I *firmly* believe that Obola was raised a moslem and at one time was actually a believer. However,he eventually decided that any "god" who had rules...who *expected* things of his believers (I'm referring to the moslem "god",so no capitalization needed)...was highly inconvenient so he became an atheist.Only out of a sense of political expediency did he start pretending to be Christian. We *know* he's not a Christian after having watched, and listened to,him. For added proof that Obola's no Christian we can look to "Reverend" Wright who is *also* an atheist.

Most candidates DO LIE about their faith to get elected. 0 campaigned at a Black church and every other word was “God.” He is a marxist (atheistic materialism) with sympathies toward the ROP.
