Apple has removed seemingly all Civil War games from the App Store for displaying the Confederate Flag in "offensive and mean-spirited ways," our sister website TouchArcade has learned. Apple has sent a removal letter to affected developers to inform them that their app does not comply with Section 19.1 of the App Store Review Guidelines.

Oh come the f*ck on!!!
How about documentaries about the ^$#&%@! war???
This is absurd!! This is frigging 1984, and not the good one with Reagan!
Better load up on Dixie Cups before they get banned too!
I am sure they got a call from Obama central command
The "Dixie Chicks" (remember them) will have to change their name.
WWII games are OK, though.
Every generation.
Of course they are. Where do you think they learned these tactics, but the Nazis themselves.
How many millions will die in this cultural revolution?
It is a serious question
“How many millions will die in this cultural revolution?”
I wonder, quite seriously, what the American version of the Red Guards, will look like?
Find a college. Look for the gender or “queer” studies department.
I don’t have an answer to that except the general “many” and it feels like this summer is Obamas kickoff. Last summer was more of a trial run. A somewhat successful one at that.
Theyll be back once all this crap dies down.
Think again...
Have they banned games with the flag of the old Soviet Union?
A left wing homosexual is the CEO of Apple, so big surprise.
Without a doubt if the left had a way they would not hesitate to exterminate large numbers of Conservatives.
Go to any rabid liberal site and you see their true heart -- pure evil. The want Conservatives eliminated.
Here’s what I wrote to Apple (expurgated for FR, since I cussed and one point in it):
Ordinarily, I am decorous and do not cuss, but, you are [explitive-deleted] idiots! Pulling games which go to the trouble of accurately depicting the battle flags used in the American Civil War, or use the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia to indicate that it is the turn of the player (whether human or AI) controlling the representation of the Confederate Army is outrageous.
What next? No WWII games in which Nazis are accurately depicted as wearing swastikas? No medieval games accurately depicting the use of the cross in heraldry lest Muslim customers be offended?
Only if your guidelines are written in Newspeak, rather than English do these games violate Section 19.1 of your guidelines. Put them back, and issue an apology to their developers and all wargamers.
No, it will only get worse...
