Two Republican senators running for president reintroduced a bill Wednesday that would effectively ban Internet poker and other forms of online gambling—legislation that has long been championed by casino magnate and GOP mega-donor Sheldon Adelson.

Both Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio joined a handful of Republicans and one Democrat in reviving the Restoration of America's Wire Act, a measure that proponents say would "restore" the proper interpretation of a decades-old federal ban on some gambling operations by expanding it to include Internet gambling.

The cornerstone of progressives, aka federalist or whatever name they choose, is to blast government to protect their phoney baloney jobs.

Is the incentive here to keep the money flowing into local casinos?

It is astounding that people gamble online, leaving all that sensitive credit card info and personal data with someone as trustworthy as online gambling outfits.

So this is deal to get Adelson’s support? It stinks. All of the candidates go hat in hand to Adelson to ask for his money, now we see Graham and Rubio doing his bidding. Do they get money for this step or only when the legislation is passed?

They dropped the lede.

The headline should read: “Democrat Senator Joined Several Republicans in Supporting Bill That Was Not Written by George Soros!”

Seriously, when was the last time a Democrat did not carry water for Soros?

Crony capitalism. Not a fan of gambling, but why exclude online gambling and yet allow in-person gambling? $$$$ for the casinos. Why stop there! What about online porn?

One in the same. I have no doubt Adelson wants open borders. He wants the lowest paid labor he can get his hands on.

At least it is their choice to leave the information in order to play. In new USSR, they are taking that choice away from adults. Wonderful. What is next to “benefit” us from “sinning”?
