U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker, Mississippi Republican, said Wednesday he believes the state flag of Mississippi, which features the Confederate emblem, should be replaced.
“After reflection and prayer, I now believe our state flag should be put in a museum and replaced by one that is more unifying to all Mississippians,” Mr. Wicker said in a statement. “As the descendant of several brave Americans who fought for the Confederacy, I have not viewed Mississippi’s current state flag as offensive. However, it is clearer and clearer to me that many of my fellow citizens feel differently and that our state flag increasingly portrays a false impression of our state to others.”
The push to change or remove Confederate symbols has picked up in the wake of last weeks shooting deaths at a historic black church in Charleston, S.C. The suspected gunman has a history of association with white supremacist sites and an image of him with the Confederate flag has surfaced online.
South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and other political leaders in South Carolina called earlier in the week to remove the Confederate flag from state Capitol grounds in Columbia.

Absolutely. And perhaps worse, while all this is going on, the real damage in the trade bill and cow-towing to ISIS is happening behind the curtain.
The Republican party needs to be put in a museum.
You know, if Putin or China or any other foreign bad-actor is observing America right now, they should know they have a green light to do anything they want. Because America is fully demonstrating that this is a country that no longer has a spine.

If this was supposed to be about the actual killings by the madman in South Carolina (which Chicago regularly exceeds on slow weekends) the community that the madman targeted there isn’t blaming flags.
‘I now believe ....whichever the prevailing winds are blowing or whatever is popular and expedient and will get me reelected or a cushy job after i retire.
I believe we should have a Museum of Racist Democrats. Put it on the mall in DC next to the black history museum.
They should replace it with the official GOP banner: a plain white flag.

The are in massive campaign against the Confederate flag to hide the coverage of the passing of Obamatrade which is really passing the obama immigration agenda . obama will import most of the 7 billion people now in the 3rd world into the USA. this is not news to the media but a flag is and an individual(one out of 330 million ) shooting people is the top news of the year
I believe the California State Flag should be placed in a Museum as a historic relic of the Mexican-American war and offesive to Mexican People and people of Mexican Heritage! So too the Flag of Nevada as a relic of the Civil War and offesive to people from the South— as well as Mexican People! So to the Lone star Flag of Texas—a reminder of Texas Nationhood and Slavery! Ban all flags older than 50 years as unworthy of flying.

There is a huge Confederate battle flag that has been flying high on a hill owned by the Sons of the Confederacy on I 65 just outside Montgomery, Alabama since 2005. You cant miss it when driving by. I dont think it will be coming down anytime soon.
Maybe Wicker would prefer a state flag that is white with a couple of saltine crackers encircled in red with a slash going through it.
And will be until the are wiped out. Oh they’ll pretend to stand up from time to time but, as they say ... it’s all over but the shouting. And we will shout for sure, but won’t matter. We keep electing them. We keep complaining. we keep electing them We keep complaining.
