Naming of the new (third) party
Vanity

Posted on 06/23/2015 10:24:31 AM PDT by Bobby_Taxpayer

Since a name seems to be everything, it is about time to give a name to a third party for constitutional conservatives to rally around. The Dimwit and RINO GOP-E parties are not doing service to the consitution they swore to uphold.

While we're at it, let's add a platform and principles this party should stand for.

How about “The Party”, with a name like that bound to attract LOTS and LOTS of people.

How about the "Free Beer Party", that will automatically be popular.

Third party???

That is about as absurd as insisting that we can take over the GOP from within.

Why do so many here deceive themselves?

Voting for ANY party - second, third or whatever - is effectively IRRELEVANT given where this country has arrived.

Yet everyone continues to delude themselves that we are somehow going to ‘vote’ ourselves out of subjugation to a Marxist/Fascist Central State.

History teaches that you cannot stop tyranny via civil means.

Elections anymore are vehicles of illusion and placating the populace into believing they have a voice in what their rulers do.

The Federalist Party was the first political party in the United States, and most Founding Fathers were members it. I wish that party was still here, the 10th Amendment has taken a beating since it was abandoned.

Federalist Party sounds good, except the other Founding Fathers—the Anti-Federalists—made plausible arguments that the Constitution gave the Feds too much power. In retrospect, many of their concerns were justified. We have a modern equivalent of an Anti-Federalist Party—the Libertarian Party; but IMHO it's a little too anarchistic, even for me (and I'm registered Libertarian).

Therefore, what we need is The Semi-Federalist Party.

Stream of consciousness - your reply about 50 third parties simply triggered my thoughts about the idea that voting for any party is going to save what remains of us.

Yup... those where the days. Back then people argued over what political system limited government the most allowing the individual to enjoy the most liberty.

I’m sitting out until the war. Then I’m sitting out the war. I’ll willingly help draft the new Constitution when we are trying to sort through the wreckage after the defeat.

The dream of a third party is but a night mare.

The course forward is not to desert but to push the GOPc to be a force to be reckoned with.

A third party is those that are ultimate losers. They go wandering off to oblivion having accomplished nothing but aiding and abetting the real opposition

In the end, a third party is nothing more than a cop out...... pretending to be relevant

Actually, Madison drafted 17 amendments.

12 of them received passage by the necessary two thirds margins in Congress.

10 of them were slam-dunked through the ratification process, 1 was ratified in 1992, and 1 still languishes out there unratified.

The course forward is not to desert but to push the GOPc to be a force to be reckoned with.

The insanity of the party hacks infected with a fatal case of Normalcy Bias never ceases to amaze me.

Again, you people act as though last November to today never happened and we can just pretend the GOP will save us.

The GOP is dead, and so is the Republic.

Anyone who wants to survive and endure what is coming better come to grips with reality and fast.

Those that are comfortable practicing insanity are as lost as those who think Obama is a messiah.

One bill?????

Look pal - we have a litany of GOP bullcrap that empowered the Democrats and Obama since November, and the contempt your party has shown the American people is deafening.

Congress is simply part of the Politburo of D.C. under the dictatorship of Obama that your party has helped become legitimate.

First it should have American in the title name not some birds or the like. Also it should lend itself to an easy acronym. Not CRAP or the like.

So I offer ABC party AMERICAN BY CHOICE.

Where we were previously self-governing, we are now ruled by a Uniparty composed of a dominant left wing and a recessive GOP wing.

The Framers provided an out.

States, The Natural Second Party.

They already have the Constitution Party.....very successful.../sarc. I think we just need to influence the GOP more. We are failing obviously.

The exiting Constitution Party is fringe only because conservatives have been drinking the GOP koolaid under the delusion that they can influence the GOP. The GOP is bought and paid for, and its owners don't want us.

Actually, that is not our party, although they did co-nominate our presidential candidates in ‘08 and ‘12, which gave us the California ballot line.

Our national party is America’s Party.
