Thanks, Nikki Haley.

I hope you don't have any presidential aspirations, though you'd make a fine Democrat candidate.

Florida had ordered the Confederate Flag not to be flown under then Gov. Jeb Bush.

Who was the Speaker of the House then? One Marco Rubio.

A classic non-issue of the kind which have been bedeviling the American electorate since the earliest days of Bill Clinton.

The liberal dominated media is the sworn enemy of this nation.

That would be because he is a degenerate little TWERP.

The fact that he is giving up his Senate seat because he is sure that he will be the VP candidate is telling.

No Florida, no White House.

He is at least smart enough to realize that “JEB” is a nut job megalomaniac that has a day of reckoning coming soon.

Of course he would. Especially if a few rinos, and extreme left Democrats encouraged him. He is a spaghetti spined, intellectual light weight.

Why should he ORDER it? If it is the right thing to do, it should not need to be ordered. Good people of America used to have the power to decide....where did that go?

As president he would have no power to tell South Carolina or any other state to fly or not fly any flag.

He wont say if he would "order" a state government what to do on this stupid issue?

Is it a Presidential issue covered by Article 2 section 2?

Glad he isn't falling for this nonsense

As the government started sticking its nose into our tents and lives the use of the Confederate Battle Flag was simply used as a popularized emblem of defiance and protest. To many that display it that was never considered to be because one supported racism although some displaying it do. But those that do so also probably would deny supporting slavery of people of any form including people with black skin.

The Florida state flag, like that of Alabama, has a red St. Andrew's Cross on a white field. It is an adaptation of the Confederate Battle Flag. The Arkansas flag also incorporates Confederate themes.

Mike Huckabee likely had ancestors who fought for the South. One hopes he will not dishonor them.

"...Republicans have spent decades pandering to exactly the type of far-right-base voters ..."

That is ridiculous.

Republicans have spent decades acting like democrat-lite and lose as a result.

They just have about perfected it if the do-nothing congress the last few years is any indication.

I shouldn't say a do-nothing congress, they did in fact fully implement and fund Obamacare against the will of the people when they didn't have to.

But the Republicans have spent decades pandering to exactly the type of far-right-base voters who might abandon a candidate who comes out strongly against Confederate flags at state capitols.

Reality Democrats put up that Confederate emblem of state flags and they spent years pandering to the KKK far left base.
