We saw an act of evil. Racist, bigoted evil, and to me the amazing thing is that it was met with grief and love. Think about how far we’ve come since 1963. Now maybe there’s some magic law that will keep us from having more of these. I mean basically the only way to guarantee that we will dramatically reduce acts of violence involving guns is to basically remove guns from society, and until somebody gets enough “oomph” to repeal the Second Amendment, that’s not going to happen.

I remember reading that gun sales have quadrupled since Obama took office. Some of us know enough history to recognize that disarming the people, as they did in Germany, leads to tyranny. Our founding fathers were pretty smart and we’d better wise up and stay that way.

The worst school killing in American history was the Bath Michigan school bombing back in the 1920s and it wasn’t done with a gun.
Andrew Kehoe killed 38 elementary school children and six adults and injured at least 58 other people.
Sick of hearing about this. Tragedy yes by all means. Was the kid a mental nutcase , yes he was.
To use this for gun control and to take down a battle flag which had nothing to do with it makes me sick and how many blacks died this weekend in Chicago and other cities? What no outcry from the media there, how about the 9 people being shot in Detroit this weekend with a baby being hurt in it.

Repealing doesn’t remove the right, it just makes the federal government of that time illegitimate.

Of course, Rove’s not stupid. He knows repealing an amendment requires passing another amendment, and anyway the 2nd is in the Bill of Rights which is impregnable to any repeal, so.....just what in the H*** was Rove thinking? Not even Diane Feinstein calls for repealing the 2nd even though she said “Mr. & Mrs. America, turn them all in!!”
Here’s a thought worth savoring: let us hope that Ted Cruz has Rove’s remarks on his radar & either challenges Rove to a debate, or else gives a ringing declaration of support for the 2nd Amendment backed up by the full force of his Constitutional knowledge.
