Some consultants want Trump barred from GOP primary debates
Hot Air ^ | June 19 2015 | AllahPundit

I get it. With 15 people onstage, the debates will be enough of a circus without having a clown there. But on what grounds would you go about excluding Trump and no one else?

And … wouldn’t this backfire tremendously? Let’s think this through.

Do you have any breakdown numbers of Republicans, Democrats and Independents that voted for Perot?

http://www.pollingreport.com/hibbitts1202.htm

“….Exit Poll Data and the Perot Vote
Now, let’s briefly consider the 1992 exit poll data and the actual composition of the Perot vote. According to the exit poll data, 38% of the Perot voters said they would have voted for Clinton in a two way race, 38% would have voted for Bush, 24% would not have voted. Perot won 30% of independents, 17% of Republicans, and 13% of Democrats. Put another way, of his 19% popular vote share, 8 percentage points came from independents, 6 from Republicans, and 5 from Democrats. Fully 53% of Perot’s vote came from self-defined moderates, 27% from conservatives and 20% from liberals; so about 10 points of his 19% came from self-described moderates, with 5 points coming from conservatives and 4 points from liberals. We also know from the exit polls that the Perot voters were angrier at the political system than supporters of the other candidates. Do these Perot supporters really look like voters that would have gone heavily to incumbent Bush in a two-candidate race?....”

Not sure I could actually support Trump if he ever got that far...but I like him better than I like any of the other GOP candidates. He could make this thing interesting. And if he was elected? Well, obviously he couldn’t do any worse than the sniveling poltroon who’s holding the office now.

A debate between Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump would be amusing.

Trump has turned the 2016 race into an election between him and Washington DC.

Very good analogy.

Unless he has filed the correct papers, he's not a candidate yet. The last I heard, he had not filed them. Once that is done, if he is in the first tier of ten, he will be in that Fox debate. If not in the first tier, he will be in that second tier debate. Now, that supposes he won't get in a snit when he didn't make the first tier, and quits before that second tier debate.

They’ll do anything to quiet Trump. He could just do his own debates. Put out the invites and offer to pay their their expenses. See who bites and who don’t. Lots of creative stuff out there.

BTW it won’t matter what tier he’s on. That’s the one the most people will be watching. Besides, those unlucky enough to be on his tier probably won’t show up. If no one shows up, he can have the stage for an hour. Trumps fireside chat.

Trump is a social liberal and that makes me question his moral compass. But I guess on the bright side we could all roll down to hell with money in our pockets with President Trump.

LOL. No truer words were ever spoken. Go Trump, he’s going to wipe the floor with everyone else.

Hello, New York . . .
There is something about clowns I can’t quite put my finger on.
Some have happy faces, and some sad.
Wasn’t there a movie that featured a creepy clown - ?

From: Manhattan born, Long Island raised, and living in Calif. for 46 years. (Plus MD and NM before that . . .)!

The baggage, of course, will be how he acquired those billions.

Does anyone seriously believe that it is possible to get all these development projects approved without greasing local government palms and playing ball with the unions? Especially in Jersey, one of the three most corrupt states?

I don’t know...Trump has the money to post retorts to both sides that would be normally dismissed by the Media following a debate.
