We Need 65,000 Syrian Refugees Here, Really?
Virginia Free Citizen ^ | June 18, 2015 | Suzanne Shattuck

Posted on 06/18/2015 12:11:07 PM PDT by RightSideNews

The US Department of State, DHS, and 14 Democrat Senators, including Senator Kaine (see his press release), are begging for 65,000 Syrian refugees to be settled in our communities and without your consent. Virginia only has 17 Syrian refugees at last count, so is Virginia under review for the next huge wave?

As thousands of new immigrants are slated to arrive over the next few years, the chances of rubbing shoulders with Islamic terrorists increase dramatically. According to Refugee Resettlement Watch, the percentage of Muslim refugees in America was close to zero in the 1990’s. By the year 2000 it was 44%. Post 9/11 that number dropped, but now sits at 40% and rising.

A fact sheet from the website states, “Membership in a U.S.-registered Islamic terrorist group is not a bar to entry on the program as long as the refugee was not a “direct participant” in “terrorist” activity.” This raises even more red flags about this business as it relates to security for Virginians.

Presently our cities and towns are being flooded with refugees who are not only coming across our southern border, but are being flown in from places like Iraq, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Somalia and now Syria.  Leo Hohmann with World Net Daily reports 65,000 are to be brought to America from Syria over the next several years. This recommendation is from the Refugee Council USA, (RCUSA), as stated verbatim in their document, titled "COMMENTS OF REFUGEE COUNCIL USA REGARDING THE U.S. REFUGEE ADMISSIONS PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2015on page 2:

Since UNHCR is seeking 30,000 slots for 2014, and 100,000 additional slots for 2015 and 2016, RCUSA recommends that over the next three years, the United States should resettle at least 65,000 Syrians, in addition to continuing to resettle refugees from other parts of the world. The 65,000 figure is based on the expectation that the United States will continue its tradition of accepting at least half of all UNHCR referrals for any given population.
Incidentally, there are nine agencies who work with the State Department to move immigrants here and the RCUSA lobbies for contracts with them. The United Nations is heavily involved in the process of refugee placement, to the point of handpicking which ones participate in the arrangement.

Some of the nine agencies include groups like the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, World Relief, and U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. Wait for it…these groups get paid per head.

Please look at the money being granted to them from your taxes here. Under this shroud of supposed compassion is a behemoth human trafficking operation.  Once these agencies receive money from the government, they are prohibited from sharing Biblical faith with them. This fact alone makes me question the motive of these certain church groups.

What seems to be happening, specifically with the Muslim immigrants, is they are being encouraged not to assimilate. For example, Nashville’s Chief Academic Officer, Jay Steele, commented on Arabic classes that are being offered in many of their schools. “Heritage Arabic classes are meant to build off the skills students in the districts already have. We believe it will help them be more engaged in school as a whole and also help them stay connected to their native culture.” Read more about Nashville area schools here.

I don’t think staying connected to cultures from battling Islamic countries is a dependable recipe for producing law-abiding, freedom loving Americans. This was the case with the Tsarnaev brothers. They came to the U.S. from Chechnya when they were young boys. Their parents were asylum seekers who left the fighting in their homeland, but carried hate with them. The boys grew up attending a Boston mosque which is known for teaching distrust and animosity towards the West.

Abdulrahman Alamoudi was the first president of that mosque. Alamoudi is now serving federal prison time for his involvement in the failed assassination attempt of the Saudi crown-prince several years ago in Libya. These boys eventually killed three people, and maimed many others in the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing.

This scenario can happen when you combine Muslim immigrants who have been taught to vehemently detest the American way of life coupled with constant reinforcement of those views in mosques here on our soil. Many refugees aren’t coming here for love of freedom and the desire to work hard to learn about their new country. No, the very country who has given them: food, shelter, healthcare, education, and above all, liberty is abhorred. I believe allowing certain refugees, those not properly vetted, to reestablish themselves here will produce future security risks for American citizens.

I wonder if Senator Kaine has considered the fact there are no solid records available from a failed state like Syria. In order to thoroughly check backgrounds of possible refugees coming to this country and likely Virginia, you would need detailed information.

I guess we are to be comforted by a belief that the UN has our best interest at heart. They would never allow anyone to come to our country who would want to harm its citizens in any way. Really?

When the State Department was asked about the specifics of their vetting process by Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., he was told, “the details of these checks are classified.” So, much for transparency.

Even the FBI’s new head of the Cincinnati division says, “the threat of homegrown terrorists in her native state is surprising and scary. I’m not sure the general public quite gets the gravity of it,” she said.

It seems like there isn’t a week that goes by where we don’t have a terrorist attack or attempted attack on American soil. This number is set to steadily increase considering our open borders, refugee resettlement programs, encouragement for immigrants to adhere to their culture rather than assimilate, and the presence of numerous Mosques across the country purportedly preaching jihad to their members on a regular basis.

I believe many elected officials, from the President on down, are not making decisions for the safety of American citizens when it comes specifically to Refugee Resettlement. These public “servants” habitually disregard their oath of office. It is done by not providing for the common defense against enemies both foreign and domestic. Instead, they arrange for foreign enemies to become domestic, paving the way to our doorsteps.

Have them move into your house then!

I’m Hispanic and I’m absolutely FED UP with Mexicans, Central Americans and any other brain-dead hispanics that come into this country turning it into the hell-hole they came from.

I’m actually fed up with all immigrants.

Yes we r getting ARABIC IMMERSION MAGNET in Houston right about the time the UN decides its time for unvetted refugees from ISIS-controlled territories to forward “diversity”. In Houston the e-mails from the principal revealed a concerted effort to hire other dubious moslems far afield (i.e. Beirut) who were not certified nor on a legitimate visa. They were trying to get the district to help them achieve all of this. QATAR FOUNDATION doles out large grants to the district. Qatar or QFI has already failed to get enthusiasm in three HISD high schools. They aren’t giving up though...the immersion program will only start with Pre-K & K for the first year.

Ground to a Halt (Research shows: Suicide-bombers Communists, not Islamists
New York Times ^ | August 3, 2006 | ROBERT PAPE

...

In writing my book on suicide attackers, I had researchers scour Lebanese sources to collect martyr videos, pictures and testimonials and the biographies of the Hezbollah bombers. Of the 41, we identified the names, birth places and other personal data for 38. Shockingly, only eight were Islamic fundamentalists. Twenty-seven were from leftist political groups like the Lebanese Communist Party and the Arab Socialist Union. Three were Christians, including a female high-school teacher with a college degree. All were born in Lebanon.

Harb pledges to be forceful president [Maronite "ready to fight" Israel, "protect Hezbollah"]

"Beirut: Boutros Harb, long-serving Maronite Lebanese Member of Parliament, is standing for president and reaching out to the Shiite Hezbollah, across the political divide in the country.

[...]

"I have proposed that the Lebanese army and government must be in control of declaring war, and that we should find a way to incorporate Hezbollah's forces into the army. But this has to be on the condition that the Lebanese government and army accept the full duty of being ready to fight and protect Hezbollah if Israel attacks," he said, adding that it was also important that Lebanon had to liberate the occupied territory of the Sheba'a Farms from Israel."

"The ship is sinking and all of us, the Lebanese, should stick together and work together to stop the Israeli aggression," Amin Gemayel, a Maronite Christian who served as president from 1982 to 1988, told the Arabic-language TV station Al-Jazeera . . . Michel Aoun, a one-time commander in Lebanon's 15-year civil war who now serves in parliament, said . . . "I don't think that Israel has the capability to destroy Hezbollah militarily because Hezbollah is not a group of armed men," Aoun said. "Hezbollah is a major part of the Lebanese social fabric."

If they are Christians fleeing for their lives, then I’m ok with it.

If they are one fascist sect losing against another fascist sect, then we’re insane to let them into our country.

I would endorse this completely. There are around 2.2 million Syrian Christians. I’d go ahead, get a boat situation lined up and give free entry to each of the 2.2 million.

Nah! How do you know if they are REALLY Christian and not Muzzies in disguise. And even so, some people who say they’re “Christians” from other countries are not the best people anyway.

Don’t be gullible.

Enough is enough. We have enough people in this country.

They may not all be radicals now, but they’re all members of the Future Terrorists of America club.

A radical Muslim wants to behead you; a moderate Muslim wants a radical Muslim to behead you.

It would be great if someone would plaster a picture of Muslim atrocities over all those billboards Muslims are putting up in the US saying how wonderful and peaceful Islam is. BS.
