NARAL Pro-Choice America Hits GOP Frontrunner Walker In New TV Ad Campaign: “The More He Talks, The Worse It Gets”

Ad To Air Statewide In Iowa and New Hampshire As Walker And Other 2016ers Address Concerned Women For America Conference In D.C.

As part of their “Own It” campaign – a campaign to hold GOP candidates accountable for their records – NARAL Pro-Choice America today is launching a new TV ad campaign against GOP frontrunner Gov. Scott Walker.

The 30-second TV ad, which will run statewide in Iowa and New Hampshire for a week starting today, is a compilation of some of Walker’s most outrageous comments on abortion and states, “the more he talks, the worse it gets”.

You can see the ad here or watch it on YouTube.

This ad is being released as Scott Walker advocates expediting an abortion ban currently working its way through the Wisconsin legislature, and prepares to address the Concerned Women for America conference in Washington DC on Saturday. Other leading GOP 2016 candidates will also address the group this week.

According to new polling being released today, commissioned by NARAL Pro-Choice America, and conducted by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, Walker and other leading GOP candidates’ position on abortion will hurt them in Iowa and New Hampshire.

The poll, of general election voters in both states, found:

In Iowa and New Hampshire, more than 7 in 10 likely voters hold the pro-choice position that government should not restrict women’s access to abortion, even majorities of Independents and Republicans hold this position.

Voters overwhelmingly trust women—not politicians—to make the health care decisions that are best for themselves and their families.

Iowa and New Hampshire voters reject banning abortion after 20 weeks as a priority, and may punish politicians such as Scott Walker who prioritize it.

You can see the full polling memo here: http://nar.al/3ui

“From abortion bans to forced invasive ultrasounds, Scott Walker has repeatedly made clear his obsession with interfering in women’s reproductive health decisions.” said Erika West, Political Director at NARAL Pro-Choice America. “This latest effort at an abortion ban in Wisconsin is Walker’s attempt to court an extreme faction of the Republican base for his presidential run. But history shows that he and the entire 2016 Republican field will attempt to fabricate political makeovers, as they will try to backtrack to the center as we near the general election. Voters across this country need to be made aware that Walker has made a career of legalizing roadblocks to abortion and birth control access in Wisconsin, and he has the same planned for the rest of us. Walker and every GOP candidate running for president today have an anti-choice agenda in common and with 7 in 10 voters supporting access to legal abortion, they will need to own that.”

More information on the Concern Women for America conference where Walker and the other GOPers are speaking is available here:

Is Walker pro-life? I’ve never heard that issue mentioned with him?

If you can judge a man by his enemies, Walker is high in my estimation.

Hillary's latest campaign poster---true to the credo of the Democrat Party: tolerant and compassionate pols must keep the snarling abortion worshippers at bay by upping the political ante at every election cycle.

"A vote for me is a vote for a Fully-Fornicating Society.
I pledge non-stop aggression over the unborn.
I will end the punishment of an unwanted birth."

===========================================

The genital-sniffing Planned Parenthood abortion worshippers who populate the Dem party are crazy over the Clintons......

Bill and Hillary are the embodiment of The Fully-Fornicating Society w/ none of the evidence of sexual activity.....the "nuisance" of an actual child being born.

The press still loves Bill. Maybe Bill's giving phone sex to reporters to keep them off his trail?

Bill gives sex-obsessed lefties a vicarious thrill....visions of the married, gray-haired Clinton getting a young WH intern to crawl under his desk to give him a BJ is better than Viagra.

=================================================

(Groan) God only knows what blood and gore Hillary will throw the genital-sniffing rubbermaids to assure them "aggression over the unborn" will continue...and is her prime interest.

Maybe Hillary'll endorse post-birth abortions as the true measure of her abortion worship.

Social issues played a part in the campaign. Walker has stated that he is “100% pro-life” and that he believes life should be protected from conception to natural death.[57] He opposes abortion, including in cases of rape and incest.[29][58] He supports abstinence-only sex education in the public schools and opposes state supported clinical services that provide birth control and testing and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases to teens under age 18 without parental consent.[29] He supports the right of pharmacists to refuse to fill prescriptions for contraceptives on religious or moral grounds.[29][59] He supports adult stem cell research but opposes human embryonic stem cell research.[19][58][60][61] A supporter of traditional marriage, he opposed a law that allowed gay couples to register with counties to get certain benefits, such as hospital visitation rights. [62] Walker said that he would sign an Arizona-style immigration bill, which would allow local police to stop suspected illegal immigrants, if he were elected.[63]

On November 2, 2010, his 43rd birthday, Walker won the general election with 52% of total votes cast, while Democrat Tom Barrett received 46%.[64] His running mate, now Lieutenant Governor, was Rebecca Kleefisch, a former Milwaukee television news reporter.

The “worse” it gets, the fewer infants are executed. One would think that’s a GOOD thing, but not the bloodthirsty killers of NARAL.

Nice to see them wasting their money so early like this.

Please, freaks, spend all your dough right now before the general election!

I’ve never heard that issue mentioned with him?

He generally doesn't headline his talks with it, and has explicitly stated that it won't be his primary focus. On the other hand, he certainly took advantage of all the brouhaha over ACT 10 to push the Planned Parenthood defunding to Page A19.

The Socialist yahoos who teams together with all of the leftist groups were in a quandary. While they are not shy about backing each other (homosexual activists at pro-abort marches, Code Pink ditto, PP/NARAL for socialist anything), they aren't used to fighting a multi-front war, and the Unions had the resources and the organization to promise the biggest push back, and EVERYONE's money was at stake, so that was the hill they all chose to die on, and die they did.

So, without sounding the trumpets before making his offering at the altar, Walker has gotten more done in Wisconsin, than many more conservative states have on this matter. I would trust him on this issue.

Nah, it is a fund-raising gimmick. They would not run this ad if they really wanted tyo hurt Walker. Think about the typical Iowa Republican CAUCUS goer. Caucuses get a fraction of the primary turnout, at it requires more time and inconvenience (fewer caucus locations). Iowa caucus-goers tend to be more socially conservative than the Iowa public at large. And while Iowa as a whole is not Republican, it's not exactly Massachusetts, either.

If you see an ad sponsored by NARAL PAC bashing Walker, most caucus goers would be MORE likely to vote for him, especially those paying attention right now.

Conclusion, they aren't that interested in influencing the outcome, but a token media buy in Iowa and New Hampshire will give their donor list reasons tocontribute.

While Cruz, Huckabee, Santorum, Carsona nd others have good pro-life credentials, the Planned Parenthood folks probably fear Walker more than any of them. They cannot demonize him It's like trying to demonize Richie Cunningham.

As a woman, I wish our candidates would reply to NARAL and all other feminist organization thus: “I oppose any medical procedure which will invade a woman’s uterus and discard the contents thereof as a piece of garbage. A woman’s body deserves respect, and this disrespect has got to stop. Womens’ wombs produce babies, not refuse for the dumpster.”

Why avoid the blunt truth????

He could turn it around on them and state that yes, he does support a woman’s right to be fully informed about pregnancy and to not be exploited by those who want to get rich by killing her innocent baby.

As a woman, I get extremely tired of hearing how abortion is about “making health-care choices.” Birth-control abortion has nothing to do with health-care.

Well, it may be damaging to your health....in other words...making "bad choices".
