RAND PAUL: OBAMATRADE TAX HIKES ON SMALL BUSINESSES MEAN REPUBLICANS SHOULD OPPOSE REVIVAL EFFORTS
Breitbart ^ | 6/15/15 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 06/16/2015 12:39:46 AM PDT by z taxman

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)93% is calling on Republicans in the House—and the grassroots nationwide—to oppose efforts by House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)58% to revive Obamatrade via a tax increase hidden inside the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) portion of the deal.

Paul said when asked to react to an article from Breitbart News from late Sunday evening exposing the tax increase in the deal:

"You know typically to pass these kinds of things, the establishment will try to buy off Democrats by sprinkling money so they have some money in there. To get the money, under our budget rules, we have to pay for it—so they want to pay for it with a fine on small businesses...So I think when people discover they’re sticking a tax increase in there I think people will be even more unhappy."

Paul said he recommends all Republicans vote against TAA when Ryan and House GOP leadership bring it back up on Tuesday for an attempt to revive it after it embarrassingly failed 302-126...

...

Paul said he expects the issue of Obamatrade to be a big deal on the 2016 campaign trail. It’s already separated the field as Paul, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry and more oppose it. Sens. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)93% , Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)80% and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)47% (R-FL)–and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush—among others support it.

“Everywhere I go, people come up to me and say ‘thank you for not giving the president more power’ ‘thank you for voting against TPA,’” Paul said. “So I think it does resonate with people, and we’ll see how these things shake out, but it fits my message..."

I cant take seriously anybody that met with Al Sharpton. Rudy never mentioned his name nor met him. It was a glorious eight years, except of course, for the horror of 9/11.

Thanks for the post... Every time I read about this deal I think.. Just scrap the whole thing.. Another tax from Obama and the Libs and the GOPe+ Say it isn’t so.. I am somewhere between a conservative, which I was for years and a Libertarian. We were burned by the same bunch on the Patriot Act... Didn’t work out. I don’t trust any of them. Walker is a Patriot in it’s current form, supporter. Cruz is supporter of Obamatrade. It’s hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys.
People dismiss discussion because Rand is Rand. Not because they are right on the issues. It’s a part of the liberal infection of no discussion— only my way.
BTW.. GOPe+ is my symbol for the left wing of the Tea Party.

Here we go again. The bad deal was thought dead, suddenly it is given life and there is the real possibility it will pass. Deja Vu! Been there so many times ObamaScare and many other Obama administration items. The crisis government goes on and on. The voters get angrier and distrust DC more and more. The Drama never ends!

House GOP leadership, at Ryan’s insistence, is going to try to change the game and pass TAA again on Tuesday despite the fact it raises taxes on small business.

Leadership didn’t tell any of the members—including the 86 Republicans who voted for TAA last week—that they put the tax increase in the deal…

Thanks for posting. HOORAY Rand Paul.

Socialism Is Legal Plunder

Woe to the nation when this latter purpose prevails among the mass victims of lawful plunder when they, in turn, seize the power to make laws! Until that happens, the few practice lawful plunder upon the many, a common practice where the right to participate in the making of law is limited to a few persons. But then, participation in the making of law becomes universal. And then, men seek to balance their conflicting interests by universal plunder. Instead of rooting out the injustices found in society, they make these injustices general. As soon as the plundered classes gain political power, they establish a system of reprisals against other classes. They do not abolish legal plunder. (This objective would demand more enlightenment than they possess.) Instead, they emulate their evil predecessors by participating in this legal plunder, even though it is against their own interests.

It is impossible to introduce into society a greater change and a greater evil than this: the conversion of the law into an instrument of plunder.

“You are SO obvious.”

Isn’t really a response, thought process, or address to facts that an intelligent person would offer.

I guess if you had any real facts or intelligent thouhts to offer you would, but since the inexplicable acts of your Idol have dug you so deep, you just have pathetic and childish remarks left.

If you have a real response that explains why Cruz would be fine with empowering Obama while also taking power away from Congress, condoning secrecy and threats by Obama against members of Congress, and also being fine with this process that is going to raise taxes on small businesses, then please offer it. Otherwise you are just admitting that Cruz has been very wrong in all of this over and over again.

And for the record, I am not a Rand Paul supporter. He has some excellent points on domesestic policy, but having spent many years deployed to different regions, I can tell you Rand’s foreign policy sounds good to me, but they would never work in the real world. No offense meant to Paul supporters.

I love how so many people here are ready to dump Senator Cruz over how many LEGAL immigrants may come into the country and a vote on the TPA Trade Agreement because the TPP Trade Agreement contains “secret language” and has NOT been voted on yet. Is anyone offering a better candidate or just stating that Senator Cruz is not perfect or good enough?

Sadly, if Cruz will kowtow to the big donors on Obamatrade he will do the same as POTUS on Obamacare. Big donors love socialized medicine and Ted Cruz has their backs. His credibility as a conservative is gone.

So, can you back up your assertion?

Surely you know that other main contenders did the same, right?

Or, are you just here to troll Cruz?

That is one weird post, you like his idiotic foreign policy that you say would never work? You like his desire to reduce military manpower and spending on weapons and research?

His domestic policies on what, abortion and gay marriage?
