Five reasons Jeb Bush will be the next president
Washington Examiner ^ | 06/15/2015 | BY JASON RUSSELL

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will launch his presidential campaign Monday in Miami. Much will happen to change the shape of the race between now and November 2016. But given what we know now, I predict that Bush will become the 45th president of the United States. Here are five reasons why:

1. Bush is seeking to grow the Republican Party.

Rather than trying to expand his support among conservative voters, Bush is trying to make inroads with moderate, swing voters. For example, when I've heard Bush talk about his education reforms in Florida, he doesn't just give conservative talking points about expanding families' freedom to choose the school that's best for them. He explains how successful the reforms have been in making Florida's Hispanic, black and low-income students outscore students in other states.

Bush is a true Big Tent Republican. He generally doesn't attack other Republicans, and when he attacks Democrats, he generally avoids the outraged tone that other GOP candidates employ. This will be an attractive feature to the growing share of voters who are fed up with the politics of perpetual outrage. Conservative voters likely won't like his moderate approach to immigration or his support for Common Core. But Bush isn't flip-flopping on those issues; instead, he is working to convince conservatives of his positions while taking his message to moderate voters.

2. He's already in the lead.

Bush leads the RealClearPolitics polling average (although Scott Walker and Marco Rubio are very close behind). His drive to attract moderate voters will expand his base of support. Few others are competing for the same voters, leaving Bush nowhere to go but up.

I think the only ones that matter are Bush, Walker, Rubio, Cruz, Huck, Santorum and Paul. Minor roles to Perry & Fiorina, Kasich and Jindal if they run. The winner comes from the first list, with potentially a solid 6-15 percent sticking with each candidate down to the wire. The rest potentially split the vote, with Huck and Santorum peeling off potential Cruz votes, and Fiorina capturing some fire with her awesome rhetoric and quick mind. The rest of the also-rans will either bow out or fizzle out before it matters.

Dear Mr. Bush,
Your support for common core, the “acts of love” and governing like LBJ prohibit me from voting for you in good conscience.

3 strikes you’re out!

Had more reason today to listen to the radio than is usual.

It’s clear that the menu being offered you by the media/political establishment is: Clinton, Bush, Rubio, and Walker.

That’s it.

My wife says the same thing as you; I disagree. He’s campaigning as so compassionate, but he did as much as kill her, as I recall it. I’d like to see the media ask the question, so he can demonstrate how compassionate he is.

Old man Bush let Bill be president. The agreement was W could be president next. Then Hillary was supposed to follow W. Then Jeb would follow Hillary. But Obama threw a wrench into those plans. (I started to say “monkey wrench” but didn’t want to see racist.)

Now the Clintons say it’s Hillary’s turn because they let Obama go in front of her. The Bushes are saying “It’s not our fault you let Obama stand in for Hillary. We held up our end of the deal now it’s Jeb’s turn.”

That’s my conspiracy theory.

As much as I dislike Jeb Bush, he didn’t kill Terri Schiavo.

Did Pontius Pilate kill Jesus?

I go to another board, both Republicans and Democrats but I can’t believe people would vote for Jeb. The immigration part is the main deal breaker for me. I guess Dubya is not looking so bad these days.

El Busho Bandito is more suited to being El Presidente of Mexico than POTUS. He speaks Spanish more than English, bowing to his wife who never wanted to become an American citizen. El Jebster is a trans-Mexican. (Following the latest “trans-trends”)

"...Voter fraud has been a problem forever, but it seems to have become more prevalent of late..."

Dirty little secret: the Republicans have entered into an agreement with the Democrats to never, ever raise the issue of massive voter fraud by the dems.

Other FReepers can explain it better, but my understanding this agreement is a written down, permanent, contract.

That's why the issue is never raised on a national level, and it's why the media does not address it (they are fully aware of this agreement).

The left has institutionalized mass voter fraud and the Repubs simply rolled over.

I think the only ones that matter are Bush, Walker, Rubio, Cruz, Huck, Santorum and Paul.

I would not include Huck or Santorum on the list. Neither has a chance of getting the nomination or even a VP pick.

The rest of the names on your list all have either enough money (Bush) or enough grass roots support (Walker, Rubio, Cruz and Paul), to hang in at least until the first actual primary vote in February 2016.

Of course, that could change if any of them really fail in the debates (Perry in 2008).
