Environmentalists are fighting to stop a huge solar power plant on behalf of ... 100 sheep?!?
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 06/12/2015 | John Merline

This week, leading environmental groups cheered when the city of Los Angeles refused to buy electricity from a proposed new power plant.

"The Sierra Club is delighted to see the city do the right thing and choose not to sign a power purchase agreement with this harmful project," Sarah Friedman, a senior campaign representative with the organization, told the Los Angeles Times. The Natural Resources Defense Council said it had "significant concerns" about the project.

So what are we talking about here? A new CO2-spewing coal plant? Something that runs on "extraordinarily dirty" oil from the Canadian tar sands?

A study should be made on the environmental effects of homes where Sierra Club members live. I would not be surprised if these very same people are watering their California landscape, burning kilowatts to run decorative lighting, top-end appliances, furnaces, and air conditioners as well as driving gas guzzling vehicles.

If they were serious about their claims, they would all live in tiny houses and ride bicycles.

The Sierra Club members should all live in a lean-to in the woods and eat grubs and berries. Otherwise they are hypocrites. The reality is they are funded by the Saudis and Chicoms, who have a national interest in having America not use it’s abundant natural resources.

The reality is that they consider themselves to be ‘elites’ and so far above the mud-sucking maggots of the common people who cannot appreciate ‘Gaea’ in all her glory.

Also you are correct about who funds them and why.

These are the Gaia worshiping, humanity hating nuts who are against anything and really want the human population to be reduced by 95 percent or eliminated entirely.

Its about time these environmentalist whackos realize that “green” energy also has environmental consequences. Look at the thousands of windmills that blight our horizons and chop up birds with impunity, including eagles. The ethanol boondoggle not only has pushed corn farming into barely sustainable land, but uses more energy to produce each gallon of ethanol than can be had from using it as fuel. It is ironic that the means of producing electricity with least environmental impact remains nuclear power.

This is exactly as it should be. Everyone knows sheep are happiest when living in proximity to a nuclear or coal-fueled power plant.

They're not for it so much because they believe it actually works. They support it because Conservatives are against it as a realistic replacement for those "evil" fossil fuels.

There are numerous sources on this subject and they all say that LA DWP is not buying the Soda Mountain renewable power because the price is too high.

Even the Breibart article on the subject points out this fact, which implies that Breibart is a more reliable source than Investor's Bullshit Daily.

You might want to consider rewriting your article?
