Britain has pulled out agents from live operations in "hostile countries" after Russia and China cracked top-secret information contained in files leaked by former U.S. National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden, the Sunday Times reported.

Security service MI6, which operates overseas and is tasked with defending British interests, has removed agents from certain countries, the newspaper said, citing unnamed officials at the office of British Prime Minister David Cameron, the Home Office (interior ministry) and security services.

Russia and China have both managed to crack encrypted documents which contain details of secret intelligence techniques that could allow British and American spies to be identified, the newspaper said citing officials.

The Chinese probably got everything. Boehner and McConnell will ignore this and concentrate on giving away the country with TPA. Important things come first.

The fact no country will take Snowdens multiple requests speaks volumes in itself...even now he continues to beg to leave Russia with no success.

At some point Putin will tell him to leave...but Putin’s loved irritating Obama that Snowden is there....it’s a thorn he likes to twist now and then.

“He could have become a whistle blower in our own country but chose not to.”

Sure. He could have been destroyed and imprisoned here or Gitmo or live in Russia. All the same.

You clowns are talking about a proven liar and anti-American propagandist who has done his best to put forward the narrative that the U.S. has no business having an intelligence program of any kind.

I’d be careful getting any of your knowledge about the NSA and its work from someone who is clearly under the control of the FSB and coordinates his information drops with them:

This is a good collection of articles that discusses just exactly what Snowden really is.

“he is a traitor and should be executed”

If you want to start executing true traitors, You should start with the ones we collectively vote for. They’ve done a hundred times worse.

In my book, BTW, he’s a whistle blower not a traitor...

Snowden is such an American hero. Without him we would have never known that NSA listens to your phone calls and reads all your emails. But now they are exposed along with those traitors in congress that do not believe in the 4th amendment. A buch of republicrats are traitors to the constitution.

“Russia and China have both managed to crack encrypted documents which contain details of secret intelligence techniques that could allow British and American spies to be identified, the newspaper said citing officials.”

First let me assert that I know what I’m talking about here...

A truly random key of the length used in encryption can not be broken except by brute force, even by the NSA. Of course you “could” guess it on the first try, more realistically it would take multiple (likely tens of” decades with the fastest computers we have.

The Ruskies and the Chinese didn’t crack our code...

If he was the selfless hero he has always portrayed himself to be, concerned not for his own safety, and willing to risk it all for his country, he would have taken his chances with us, not defected. We have a whistle blower program that is designed to protect genuine whistle blowers. If he were a patriot, not a traitor, he would have taken his chances and risks in our own country, not under the protection of the Chicoms, or the Soviets, uh, I mean the Russian.s

Courageous to take a stand and “hero” are not the same. Do you have a link to somewhere that he said he’s a hero?

I am glad he revealed the gov’ts illegal activity. I don’t consider him a hero. I do consider him courageous.

“We have a whistle blower program that is designed to protect genuine whistle blowers.”

Hasn’t worked with the NSA.

“If he were a patriot, not a traitor, he would have taken his chances and risks in our own country, not under the protection of the Chicoms, or the Soviets, uh, I mean the Russian.s”

We will disagree. I think his error was in not making legal residency arrangements first. Because he failed to do so, the only option the US couldn’t close was Russia.

Yes, I suppose he had some courage, but not enough, apparently to stay and fight the good fight in his own country. Sure he would have put himself at some risk, but how much? It’s possible he could have been assassinated or imprisoned, but, although we are living in a soft tyranny, it has not yet turned into a hard tyranny, so I think those two outcomes were far from certain. In the mean time, his chosen path is certainly not risk free either.

As far as him claiming to be a hero, I’m not aware that he ever directly made that claim for himself, but others have.
He has shown a degree of courage I suppose, but that alone does not make him worthy of admiration. There have been monsters throughout history who have displayed what one might call courage.

I think the government just sees who you call on the phone, not listening to every second on the phone.

Oh bullshit. Your Acquaintances are flat out wrong. They (media) don’t reveal because it would make their messiah look bad; no other reason.
Snowden did us all (lots of countries) a favor. Our government is completely corrupt and WE pay for the corruption and do nothing about it. Is it any wonder we are becoming the most hated and targeted country on the planet? I don’t give two squirts or urine about any elected official at this point; their job is to keep their job by any means and any means means by stealing from me, you and every honest working American.
The spooks that want to “work” this system and don’t give a damn themselves about all the problems? Oh well; I guess they had a nice run..later guys. The ones that do care; well, man up folks; you have the resources.
