Britain has pulled out agents from live operations in "hostile countries" after Russia and China cracked top-secret information contained in files leaked by former U.S. National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden, the Sunday Times reported.

Security service MI6, which operates overseas and is tasked with defending British interests, has removed agents from certain countries, the newspaper said, citing unnamed officials at the office of British Prime Minister David Cameron, the Home Office (interior ministry) and security services.

Russia and China have both managed to crack encrypted documents which contain details of secret intelligence techniques that could allow British and American spies to be identified, the newspaper said citing officials.

isn’t this more Snowden’s fault? believe me, obummer is destroying the country in too many ways to count.
but snowden is a traitor. nothing less.
he could have gone to the press and made his case.
he’s no hero.
and if any spies from US or Brittan die or get imprisoned because of him, he should be executed.
he cared so much about freedom that he lives in Russia

We have had a series of revelations of late. Snowden was created by ineptitude.

Snowden happened on Obama’s watch. Obama let him escape to China and then Russia.

The Walker family spies are alive and so is Robert Hansen. We know that in both cases we lost spies due to them. We are so enlightened.

Greenwald knew this cat before he took his last job. He had a motive.

Snowden was troubled by the illegal activity of our government spying on it’s own citizenry. For that 0bama threatened to prosecute him. Snowden may have become a traitor, but don’t forget 0bama had a hand in making him what he is.

Combine this with Chinese hack of federal personnel files included security-clearance database.

Snowden is just one cog in the machine, hardly the cause for the disintegration of the government. There’s lots and lots of blame to.settle.

Snowden was the one who taught the Russians how to hack the OEM and the security clearance servers. The Russians likely hacked us by using Chinese servers and with the cooperation of the Chinese intelligence services.

Except most of what Snowden claimed were complete lies. More than likely Snowden was already working for the Russians prior to getting that access.

That’s what HE SAYS. Does he care that Russia & China murder their political opponents and prisoners, besides spying? He is a mixed bag, IMO.

I blame Obama.

We wouldn’t have had Snowden if Obama hadn’t approved of the NSA spying on ordinary citizens.

Bush operated the NSA in a responsible manner: threats and possible threats were the subject of intense scrutiny. Regular folks were left alone.

That changed when Obama took over. NSA collecting data on regular folks, the IRS targeting conservative non-profit groups, gun owners and veterans were considered “domestic terrorist” profiles...you name it.

So, while what Snowden did was illegal and immoral and unethical and wrong (because of the legitimate security secrets he exposed), his actions were PROMPTED by Obama and Hillary’s state of surveillance apparatus being expanded to a degree not seen since, um, the KGB and/or Gestapo.

Since the security at the NSA was so lax that Snowden was able to walk out with piles of documents on a thumb drive I would be shocked if foreign powers did not already have moles working at NSA with just as much access as Snowden.

What Snowden did is inform the general public of unconstitutional snooping by the government.

Snowden probably provides a convenient excuse for why our security is such a shambles...but in actuality it appears it was a shambles long before Snowden happened along.

Snowden was always a traitor. Yes, he did provided a service to our nation by revealing the extent our government spies on its own citizenry, but he also has given aid and comfort to our enemies. His motives were always different from our motives. You could tell from his first public statements, before he defected, that he had no love for our country. He could have become a whistle blower in our own country but chose not to.

If a bank robber had run his getaway car into Hitler and accidentally killed him, he would have inadvertently done a service to the world. But he would still be a bank robber, not a hero.

Don’t get sucked into believing that just because you agree with Snowden for revealing how the NSA spies on us all, that he is a hero. This is just a rare instance of a leftist traitor agreeing with us on one particular issue.

His agenda was always different from ours. Just look at how the Democrats and the Conservatives voted the same way with regards to TPA yesterday. I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth, but it would be foolish to believe their vote signified that they’ve all come around to our point of view. They voted it down for their own reasons, and we voted it down for ours - just a strange and rare instance where two groups of people with opposing viewpoints can agree on a particular issue.
