Jeff Sessions Issues Final 'Critical Alert': Obamatrade Just Like Amnesty, Obamacare
Breitbart ^ | 11 Jun 2015 | MATTHEW BOYLE

Posted on 06/11/2015 5:30:41 PM PDT by xzins

Sessions’ final “critical alert,” one of several he’s issued throughout the Obamatrade process, shows House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)60% has been engaged in deception as he attempts to guide Obamatrade’s passage through the House.

“Promoters of fast-track executive authority have relied on semantic obfuscation in an effort to deny the obvious: the President’s top priority is obtaining fast-track authority because he knows it will expand his powers and allow him to cement his legacy through the formation of a new political and economic union,” Sessions said.

The authority granted in “Trade Promotion Authority” is authority transferred from Congress to the Executive and, ultimately, to international bureaucrats. The entire purpose of fast-track is for Congress to surrender its power to the Executive for six years. Legislative concessions include: control over the content of legislation, the power to fully consider that legislation on the floor, the power to keep debate open until Senate cloture is invoked, and the constitutional requirement that treaties receive a two-thirds vote. Legislation cannot even be amended.

“By contrast, without fast-track, Congress retains all of its legislative powers, individual members retain all of their procedural tools, and every single line, jot, and tittle of trade text is publicly available before any congressional action is taken,” Sessions said.

Another obfuscation is the suggestion that TPP doesn’t yet exist. To the contrary, it has been under negotiation for six years and lawmakers can enter a closed-door, walled-off chamber to review it.

“The so-called negotiating objectives in the fast-track bill are merely for show,” Nucor Steel chairman emeritus Dan DiMicco says, according to Sessions. “The President can and does sign the agreement before Congress views or votes on it.”

Actually Reagan forced Japan to devalue their currency and put steep tariffs on Japanese car imports. That’s why there are so many Japanese plants in the US now, as a way around those tariffs.

Alabama delegation could decide whether ‘ObamaTrade’ passes or not....Yellowhammer news

.......As of Thursday evening, Alabama congressmen Mo Brooks (R-AL5) and Gary Palmer (R-AL6) have very publicly opposed TPA and Congressmen Robert Aderholt (R-AL4) and Terri Sewell (D-AL7) are believed to be leaning “no” as well. But it is unclear right now where Congressmen Bradley Byrne (R-AL1), Martha Roby (R-AL2) and Mike Rogers (R-AL3) will land, especially with Congressional leadership urging their members to support the bill.

A unanimous Alabama delegation would not only be significant in terms of their own seven votes, but could also swing other southern delegations off of the fence and firmly into the “no” camp.

In August of last year, Alabama’s delegation almost singlehandedly orchestrated a conservative victory on immigration, they may have another shot Friday on “ObamaTrade.”

Maybe i’m completely uniformed, but I understand this bill has little to do with trade but much to do with “manmade global warming” and “immigration”.

That's what I've heard also...So let's vote for without reading it...Ya right!!!

Absolutely! Why isn't this man running for President?

Throughout history those one wants in power don't want power, and vice versa.

Yeah. Rogers is our congresscritter. I am very, very upset with the guy. He does not make good decisions all the time. Sometimes I could pull my hair out on his decision making. I almost didn’t vote for him this last time, just skip the ballot position with this name on it and move on, but I finally did as did my wife. But, this next time, I may just skip him. He won easily and had no competition, but that doesn’t mean I HAVE to vote for him. The guy needs to step up and I sent him an email last night yelling at him about some of this stuff. Especially the hidden Obama control on immigration that is the bill.

>>Yup, I got laid off when I turned 60. Funny how that works<<

We are mandated once a year to take ethics and compliance modules. It is an absolute smoke screen.

50+ year old applicants going out and beating the concrete looking for positions are shunned by corporate America for the most part.

Americans want to work. Our nation is responsible for the overwhelming majority of patents, innovative process.

My heart aches for our country.

>>You can cry and scream what’s happening to the American worker<<

I don’t give a rats @$$ about other nations. We’ve been more than generous to the rest of the world. If it were not for this nation, the rest of the world would be speaking German or Chinese.

>>...for all nations are seeing workers being flooded into their nations too..<<

Respectfully, I submit this statement,is a damn lie.

China/India/Mexico being flooded with foreign workers? Sorry, you are misinformed.

We have millions of legal, millions of illegals flooding this country. It is on a scale unparalleled.

The wife and I took a motorcycle trip from Texas to NC recently. We stayed off the highways and traveled off the beaten path. What we witnessed in small town America is truly heartbreaking. Town after town we saw multi-thousand sq ft. manufacturing facilities with grass knee high in the parking lots. Not just one or two...scores. Small town business districts totally abandoned.

Our so called leaders have generously given lucrative trade policy to multinational corporations at the expense of American workers. It’s all about money. The almighty dollar.

Now we see the Chinese economy slowing because the largest importer of cheap Chinese crap cannot afford to purchase the good. American consumers are strapped because they do not have the disposable income to drive our economic engine.

Funny how things run full circle. Put American workers, America FIRST. The world was a much better place for it.

“Can’t believe so many Freepers are swallowing the Progressives milk to use them to take out Cruz .....
Sheesh!... talk about following the masses!
I’m so fed up at this moment with those who honestly believe Cruz is treasonous and all the other crap spewed on these threads....well at least I’ll know in the future who reserves opinion until the facts are actually in rather than the paranoid reactions I’ve been seeing.

God calls us Christians..”Sheep”! ....and boy do they scatter easily at the sound of any rustle in the bushes where they have wandered to.!....”

Cruz is taking himself out. Sessions is NOT a progressive. Jeff has been fighting the conservative battle for years. Your last part implies you are not Christian, if you do not believe Cruz anymore. I guess I should sit quietly while Cruz ruins this country with this NWO agreement.

No, they can’t.

Fast Track removes the Senate filibuster for final passage. Only a simple majority is required. Just like budget reconciliation, which was used to ram through ObamaCare after Scott Brown took away the Dems supermajority by winning Kennedy’s seat.

All this talk of secrecy, etc, is IMHO a smokescreen for removing the filibuster. THAT is the critical issue we need to be talking about.

Cruz put out a missive as to why he supports TPA.

He convieniently leaves out the part about no filibuster.

People have a right to be pissed over that. He not only looks like a tool, but a duplicitous one as well.

It seems to be okay to discriminate against the older worker. This is happening all over the country. Landing a new job is taking a lot longer for the older worker.

>>It seems to be okay to discriminate against the older worker<<

You bet. The back side of this thing is for a couple of decades now, older workers/middle class workers are being crushed. Dipping into savings, 401k’s, home equity to pay the bills.

When the bulk of the baby boomers begin retiring, many will not have the money to support themselves. Entitlement programs will soar.

If any candidate, republican or democrat tells you that they will not raise taxes...they are intentionally deceiving.

Over 70 trillion in promised, unfunded liabilities we as a nation face in medicare, social security, our nation will be bankrupt. Taxes will go up. Devaluation of the dollar WILL happen. Closing in on 20 trillion in debt, not to mention if interest rates rise and or we enter another global war...this gubbamint will have no choice.

Our leaders have gone down a path of no return. We cannot generate the GDP necessary to gain control over this monumental fiscal mismanagement. It's just a fact.

Without good paying manufacturing jobs hitting our shores, with millions of legal/illegal immigrants being shipped into our country and 93 million out of work Americans...the picture looks quite gloomy.
