Terrified residents of a small upstate New York town grabbed their shotguns Tuesday after the two killers who staged a dramatic escape from a nearby state prison were tracked to their burg.
They armed themselves even as legions of cops and corrections officers descended on tiny Willsboro, N.Y. in hot pursuit of escaped convicts Richard Matt and David Sweat.
“My husband I both have conceal carry (licenses) and we have our guns loaded and they’re here in the house,” said Teresa Sayward, a former Republican Assemblywoman whose farm is located near where the wanted men were spotted. “Hopefully we won’t have to use them.”
Sayward said cops grilled them about hunting trails and turkey blinds that the escapees from the Clinton Correctional Facility could use for shelter.

This incident is yet another reason why the death penalty is necessary.
Here you have a situation where convicted murderers are sentenced to life without parole.
They have nothing to do all day long but to think of way to escape 24/7. And if they get caught they have absolutely nothing to lose.
Now they are on the loose and could very well kill again.
I believe the 2 missed there ride,got stood up and now don’t know where they are.It doesn’t sound like they were trained at outdoor survival skills so money sez they aint that far away unless they had other transportation and are now in Canada
If they had help getting in smuggled tools they may also have help getting transport out of the area. But just a hunch.

I agree. The plan was too well worked out to just simply have them end up a short distance from the prison. Something went wrong.
Yes, if they would just Lock up the lawbreakers there would be no need for guns.....

The cops are searching about 20 miles from my farm. This should be real real fun coz we`uns is all armed sharpshooters here in dese mountains of Adirondackers.

The female prison worker who helped them escape got cold feet and didn’t pick them up like she was suppose to. I understand her son sticking up for his mother but I would bet money that she fell for this murderous lowlife. Lonely, unhappily married and overweight women are an inmate’s best friend in the prison.
