All three of the city’s public pools lie to the east of Highway 75. Craig Ranch, where the pool party took place, lies well to its west. BuzzFeed reports that the fight broke out when an adult woman told the teens to go back to “Section 8 housing.”
Craig Ranch North is the oldest residential portion of a 2,200 acre master-planned community. “The neighborhood is made up of single-family homes,” says the developer’s website, “and includes a community center with two pools, a park and a playground.” Private developments like Craig Ranch now routinely include pools, often paid for by dues to homeowners’ associations, and governed by their rules. But that, in itself, represents a remarkable shift.
At their inception, communal swimming pools were public, egalitarian spaces. Most early public pools in America aimed more for hygiene than relaxation, open on alternate days to men and women. In the North, at least, they served bathers without regard for race. But in the 1920s, as public swimming pools proliferated, they became sites of leisure and recreation. Alarmed at the sight of women and men of different races swimming together, public officials moved to impose rigid segregation.
As African Americans fought for desegregation in the 1950s, public pools became frequent battlefields.

From my experiences with private security, unless they are an off duty officer, most times “interaction” is shifted to the police. Observe, possibly interact, but ultimately if you get the police involved you limit the liability faced by the security firm or the property owner. It because assault on an officer the moment they throw a punch. Not so if they attack a private citizen (even working in a security role).
Unless the hostess got the ok from Craig Ranch to have a pool party with x number of guests on a busy summer weekend, they were trespassing on private property.
If she DID have permission then her guests should have acted like GUESTS and not hoodlums. Turn down the music, be respectful etc.
In the video the cop demands they leave and most stand around and defy him. I’d beat my kid half silly if any one of them acted like this. They were just asking for trouble.
Why is it when black kids come on any scene violence ensues one way or another....that equation never changes. Then they wonder why they aren’t “Invited”...the risk for violence is always a danger doing so...that is just the way it is.....

Maybe you are right but then for him to sit on her with all his weight may not go over very well with not only the public but with his boss’.
A number of years ago a WHITE kid party did make the news here. They were cheerleaders and member of the sports teams. Got out of control..parents weren’t home, etc. If I remember correctly, the cheerleaders were punished but the footballs players came out of it unscathed.
The area was a beautiful UPSCALE neighborhood out in the country where most of the kids come from $$ and privilege. No hood kids coming from out of town. White kids can be just as stupid, rude and out of hand. Most of the parties here were on empty land in the country. I forget what they called them. The location was spread by word of mouth so the cops wouldn’t be alerted. I don’t remember them being newsworthy but my kids had stories to tell and none of them were good.

I imagine that the push (if there is a push) (by liberal media) is to incorporate HOA managed communal property as public accomodations from the POV of litigation by liberal civil rights groups under 14a.
Of course, in another era the notion of blurring the distinction between private property and public property was a defining hallmark of communism.

Little gangsters in the making. Parents don’t give a rip. Likely raise their kids with the entitlement attitude. We know for a fact that most of them have are raised by welfare mothers with no males on the scene. On the other hand, I know MANY single white mothers who raise little brats because they feel guilty.

I doubt their parents checked up with the parents of the hostess to see if they were going to be present. Something I made a habit when my kids were that age.
Exactly. You know...all of the g0lfr’s outreach and organizing communities to “stage” groups of blacks in Ferguson, Baltimore, etc. to cry foul against police, white-skinned crackers... All the busloads of “people in the crowd,” “voters,” “where’s my free cigarettes,” cell phones, 500 bucks, fake Twitter followers...nothing being presented is organic. It’s all set up for the gullible, ignorant, dumb****s to consume and digest.
The two people I’d most love to hear from are the two men, one white & one black, standing quietly on the sidewalk when the now-suspended officer is kneeling down next to the bikini-clad girl crying for her mama. Both appeared to me to be residents of Craig Ranch.

Every one of those kids was old enough not to have a parent leaning over their shoulder.....they all knew fist-fighting as was happening is not going to be tolerated, even if in the hood it’s a daily norm. They weren’t in the hood.
Also if you notice in the black community or white hood areas few if any break up their fights...they stand back and cheer.

I don’t know if we are really disagreeing. While most of the country thinks of the KKK of the 20s as “Southern”, a big part of its membership was in the Ohio Valley—north of the river.
But I don’t think the South necessarily follows state lines. Natives of Charleston and Sikeston, Missouri have a definite southern accent, while Cape Girardeau, where I am, has the Midwest accent—and it’s only about 40 miles difference.
sheheit is apparently on a crusade! wonder what will happen to hoa swimming pools after random street people win a lawsuit against one for denying entry to a hoa managed swimming pool on the basis of race. oh well.
