Jill Dillard: "They're used to exploiting women."
In an interview with Fox News host Megyn Kelly that ran on Friday, two of the Duggar daughters who were victims of their brother’s inappropriate sexual touching called out the magazine that illegally released the records that not only revealed the identity of their brother Josh (who was a juvenile at the time), but also indirectly identified the victims.
Jill Dillard, the second daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, told Kelly that she suspected there might be an agenda behind the story. “I mean, I know that the tabloids that released this, even have — you know, they’re used to exploiting women. They have the parent company –”
“Well, Bauer…they’re a major porn provider…” her sister Jessa Seewald interrupted.
“So I don’t know if they are — maybe their mindset, they’re just used to making objects out of women and maybe we just didn’t seem any different,” Seewald continued.
Jill and Jessa are members of the conservative Christian family that has been featured in the reality TV series 19 Kids and Counting, and the young women are spot on about the background of the company that publishes In Touch magazine.
Bauer Media Group, based in Hamburg, Germany, publishes 600 magazines, over 400 digital products, and 50 radio and TV stations around the world, including In Touch magazine, the publication that uncovered the story of the abuse in the Duggar home. They also traffic in porn — some of it Nazi-themed., as you’ll see on the next page.

These lend perspective to Bauer’s legal woes in the United States, including a $50 million defamation lawsuit by Tom Cruise, filed last October after two U.S.-based publications alleged he’d abandoned his daughter Suri. In fact, Bauer generates dozens of legal complaints worldwide each year about invasion of privacy or libel, according to a lawyer who has frequently opposed them.
The Duggar sisters are absolutely correct. In Touch and Bauer Media Group make money, in part, by exploiting women and trafficking in content that sexually objectifies women. The young women in the Duggar family who were victims of sexual abuse by their brother were victimized a second time by a magazine that treated them, not as accidental collateral damage in their honest efforts to report a legitimate news story, but as an integral part of a business model based on sexual exploitation of women. They exploited the sexual abuse suffered by the Duggar sisters for money, pure and simple. And they’ve done it with countless other women over the years. Disgusting.

Yes, but what got the Catholics in such financial trouble was the outfit out in New Mexico that claimed they could cure them. So the guys kept getting recycled back to new parishes to hunt again. That’s why they make the best example of ‘can’t be cured’. If they had understood that on the front end, they wouldn’t have taken nearly such a financial hit. And that’s why there is no excuse for anyone ignoring that fact now.

The girls say they’re fine. It’s not your call. Also, if you’d like to post your professional psychoanalytic treatment evaluation credentials, I’d love to see them.
Your main point is true. I don’t know what healing or private therapy has taken place, what forgiveness was genuine.
But neither do you. We don’t know. We know what “appears” so on camera. Which makes the Duggar show no different from the Kardashian show, tech speaking, and both are lightly scripted. Thus sort of fake, if you will.
There is no way Josh would want to appear a pedophile sex predator. Of course his appearance in public would never show it. But Ted Bundy, in between murdering girls, worked a night shift at an emergency hotline, alone in the building with one young woman, his coworker. He even walked her to her car after work to keep her safe.
A principal, awaiting trial for child molestation right now of children at his school as young as three, conducted his job for years and people thought him the best. So caring, so loving, so devoted to those kids. Until you hear what he was DOING to those kids.
None of the concern over Josh is because I say so. It’s because no one knows if his sexual excitement over children lasted, and he would be a more dangerous pedophile than the cop who advised him. The cop is doing hard time for just POSSESSION of child pornography. Josh was bold enough to act on his urges. Is he still doing so? Does he bathe his little girls? His actions repeated so often that it does cause some concern. And that is only what we know about.
